摘要: A novel process for isolating devices on a semiconductor substrate is disclosed. An isolation layer is first formed over the semiconductor substrate and patterned into at least two isolation mesas on the substrate. Next, a blanket semiconductor layer is formed over the substrate with a thickness sufficient to cover the isolation mesas. The semiconductor layer is subjected to planarization until the isolation mesas are exposed, thus resulting in a semiconductor region between the two isolation mesas to serve as an active region for semiconductor devices.

摘要: A paper transmitting mechanism mounted on the transmitting path which includes a driving wheel, a driving system drives the driving wheel, a pressure wheel, a pressure wheel adjusting unit, and a paper sensor settled upstream to the driving wheel and pressure wheel. The pressure wheel adjusting unit includes an elastomeric unit; one end of the elastomeric unit is connected to the axle of the pressure wheel, and the other end is connected to a linear driving device. When the paper sensor detects the paper is going to enter or leave the driving wheel, the paper sensor will send a signal for adjusting the clamping force between the driving wheel and the pressure wheel to make the clamping force and the friction between the driving wheel and the pressure wheel adjustable according to the position of the paper, so as to avoid the paper slipping or vibrating during transmitting.

摘要: A calibration mechanism is positioned in a scanning device having a scanning module for scanning a document. The scanning module defines a scanning line perpendicular to a scanned area of the document. The calibration mechanism includes a calibration unit, a supporting unit supporting the calibration unit, and a driving unit. The calibration unit is positioned to face the scanning module and aligned with the scanning line. The driving unit drives the calibration unit to move close to the scanning module and away from the scanning module along the scanning line. The scanning module obtains great brightness value by scanning the calibration unit, if the calibration unit is close to the scanning module. The scanning module obtains small brightness value by scanning the calibration unit, if the calibration unit is far from the scanning module.

摘要: An improvement in the properties of etch rate, mechanical stress, and chemical resistance of silicon layers obtained by plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition from mixtures of reactive gases such as oxygen and tetraethoxysilane is achieved by adding nitrogen gas to the reactive gas mixture. The addition of nitrogen gas is effective in improving the cited properties of the silicon oxide layers without altering the basic properties of the deposition process or degrading the other desirable properties of the silicon oxide layers in any substantial manner.

摘要: A glass supporting device of a scanner comprises an upper cover, a lower cover, a front cover, and a glass sheet. The upper and lower covers, and the front cover can be integrated. The lateral sides of the upper cover are installed with a plurality of sliding tracks. The sliding tracks and the edges of the top of the upper cover are formed with a shape track. Therefore, the glass sheet can be slid into the track manually for being positioned therein. The track serves for supporting the glass sheet. In the present invention, the glass sheet is easily assembled and detached. The upper cover and glass sheet is updated independently. Therefore, the assembling work is performed quickly and the cost for detaching parts are low.

摘要: Disclosed is an adjustable fixing device of a CCD plate comprising at least a central supporter and a mask device. The central supporter is made of non-transparency material. The mask device and the central supporter are approximately combined by a supporting device. The mask device and the central supporter are moved with respect to one another in a traveling range. An adhesive agent is filled to the place between the mask device and the central supporter for combining the mask device and the central supporter in a fixing position in the traveling range. Thereby, the central supporter is made of non-transparency material without needing to be performed with light shield process or installed with light shield element for effectively reducing cost. A preferred guiding structure is formed between the central supporter and the mask device for guiding the central supporter and the mask device so that they may move steadily. A larger adhesive area is formed between the central supporter and the mask device so that the central supporter and the mask device are more steadily combined.

摘要: A sheet processing apparatus includes a sheet-table unit, a sheet-separating unit, a convey unit, a discharge unit, a sheet processing unit, and a sensor arranged at an upstream end of the convey unit and spaced from the discharge unit with a predetermined distance. The convey unit has at least one convey roller, at least one convey pulley, and an elastic device connected with the convey pulley. The elastic device has a stepping motor, a transmission system, a shaft and at least one torsional spring mounted on the shaft. Two ends of the torsional spring is connected with the convey pulley. When the signal resulted from a rear end of the sheet apart from the sensor is sent to the system controller, the stepping motor is commanded by the system controller to rotate the shaft. The torsional spring is twisted to make the convey pulley move away from but still contact with the convey roller.
