Abstract: A vehicular control system determines a planned path of travel for a vehicle along a traffic lane in which the vehicle is traveling on a road. The system determines a respective target speed for waypoints along the planned path that represents a speed the vehicle should travel when passing through the respective waypoint. The system determines a speed profile for the vehicle to travel at as the vehicle travels along the planned path, with at least two different speeds being based on a difference in target speeds of at least two consecutive respective waypoints of the plurality of waypoints. The system determines an acceleration profile for the vehicle to follow as it changes from one speed to another speed of the speed profile. The system controls the vehicle to maneuver the vehicle along the planned path in accordance with the determined speed and acceleration profiles.

Abstract: A vision system for a vehicle includes a camera disposed at a vehicle and having a field of view exterior of the vehicle. A brightness control, responsive to processing of a frame of image data captured by the camera, interpolates towards an expected brightness for a next frame of captured image data by calculating a set of at least three brightness values using three different control coefficients derived from a previous frame of image data captured by said camera. The brightness control interpolates toward the expected brightness of the next frame of captured image data using the current expected brightness value and two of the three brightness values derived from the three control coefficients derived from the previous frame of captured image data.

Abstract: A vehicular control system for controlling a vehicle includes a vehicle control, an acceleration sensor and a camera. The vehicle control includes an image processor for processing image data captured by the camera as the vehicle is driven along a route by a driver of the vehicle. The vehicle control detects traffic and road topography and determines acceleration of the vehicle as the vehicle is driven along the route by the driver. The vehicle control learns the route during multiple repetitive drives of the route by the driver of the vehicle. The vehicle control increases a confidence level of the learned route during multiple repetitive drives of the route by the vehicle. When the confidence level exceeds a threshold value, the vehicle control is operable to at least semi-autonomously control the vehicle to drive the vehicle along the route.
