This solid-state image sensor includes a plurality of pixels and a transfer gate electrode arranged in each of the plurality of pixels. An OFF-state voltage of the transfer gate electrode located on a boundary part between the pixels during an imaging period is lower than an OFF-state voltage of the transfer gate electrode located on the boundary part between the pixels during a transfer period.

    摘要: Flicker, which occurs in photographing of a moving image under lighting by a fluorescent lamp, is detected accurately. A common multiple of a light-emitting period {fraction (1/100)} sec in a region where a frequency of a commercial AC power supply is 50 Hz, a light-emitting period {fraction (1/120)} sec in a region where the frequency is 60 Hz, and 1/fp according to a frame rate fp is defined as a synchronous period. An exposure condition determining unit decides an exposure condition on the basis of an image signal level at each synchronous period and feeds back the exposure condition to exposure control of a frame after the synchronous period. A synchronous level extracting unit extracts image signal levels for plural frames at each synchronous period and a synchronous judging unit judges a stability state of the levels. On the other hand, a flicker judging unit detects presence of a section where a fluctuation in an image signal level between adjacent frames is large in the synchronous period. When the synchronous level judging unit confirms that an exposure stable state is realized, the flicker judging unit makes a result of judgment on flicker based on the fluctuation of a signal level in the synchronous period effective.

    摘要: The structure of an image-signal processing apparatus for performing gamma correction and edge enhancement of a image signal is simplified. An edge-correction-gain generation circuit generates a gain signal according to the level of a image signal that has passed through an A-LPF on the basis of a preset transfer characteristic function. An edge-signal generation circuit generates an edge signal corresponding to the edge of the image according to the quadratic differential signal of the image signal. The edge signal is multiplied by the gain signal in a multiplying circuit. An edge-enhanced-signal generation circuit outputs it as an edge enhanced signal. The image signal is subjected to gamma correction by a gamma correction circuit in a different system from the edge-enhanced-signal generation circuit. A combining circuit combines the gamma-corrected image signal with the edge enhanced signal from the edge-enhanced-signal generation circuit.

    摘要: An image signal processing apparatus solves a problem of an increase in noise component contained in an image signal due to the gamma correction when a signal level is in a region where a slope of conversion characteristic is sharp, which problem has been detected in an image signal processing apparatus including gamma correction processing performed for achieving nonlinear conversion. The image signal is input to each of LPFs 40 and 42 which differ in transmission characteristic, and a selector 44 selects either one of outputs from the LPFs to send the selected output to the gamma correction circuit. The switching by the selector 44 is controlled by the filter control circuit 32. In the filter control circuit 32, a comparator 60 compares a signal level of an object pixel with a threshold value R. In the case where the signal level of the object pixel is in the region where the slope of conversion characteristic is sharp (less than R), the selector 44 is so controlled as to select the output from the LPF 42 which has a lower cutoff frequency and a larger noise component elimination effect as compared with the LPF 40.

    摘要: In an image signal processing apparatus, line memories conventionally provided at a latter stage of the apparatus in order to convert a VGA image signal into a CIF image signal are eliminated. Image data of the VGA held in a unit of one line in plural line memories 60 provided in a digital signal processing circuit are weighted and added in a VLPF 62. A factor setting part 76 of the VLPF 62 changes weighting factors according to a positional relation between a position of a generation object line of the CIF and a line of the VGA. The weighting factors are determined so that a characteristic of trapping ½ of a vertical sampling frequency fv is also obtained. The VLPF 62 uses the weighting factors to trap fv/2, and changes the position of the vertical sampling point to a position of each line of the CIF image.
