摘要: An automotive air conditioner comprises an offset blower for blowing an air, an evaporator is centrally disposed within a dashboard and receives the air from below, and a heater approximately horizontally disposed above the evaporator. The evaporator inclines downward along the direction of the air flow. A plurality of condensed water guide plates are provided under the evaporator so as to allow a condensed water smoothly flow on the surface of each guide plate and is discharged from the evaporator through a condensed water drain pipe.

摘要: An inside air/outside air switching case employing a rotary door, since an introduced air flows along an inner surface of a circumferential wall of the rotary door, an air flow guiding portion constructed of a plurality of protruding portions formed in a corrugated shape of concavities and convexities is formed on an inner surface of the circumferential wall of the rotary door. In this way, the air flow directed toward a suction inlet is made uniform by means of the guiding portion, and the air flow noise can be suppressed.

摘要: An evaporator is disposed substantially horizontally at a central portion of an instrument panel in a passenger compartment, and air is blown, by a blower disposed so as to be shifted from the center of the evaporator, so as to flow through the evaporator from the bottom to the top. A heater core is disposed substantially horizontally above the evaporator, and an air outlet mode switching portion for switching an air outlet direction of air, temperature of which is adjusted by the heater core, is disposed above the heater core. Foot air ducts are provided to supply conditioned air, a flow direction of which has been switched by the air outlet mode switching portion, to foot air outlets opening to a foot area of the passenger, and passage portions passing through an outlet side path of a scroll casing of the blower are provided in the foot air duct. In this way, it is possible to reduce the space where the heat exchanger portion is installed.

摘要: An engine cooling apparatus suitable for use in a vehicle shortens engine warm-up time without decreasing the heat-radiation capacity of a radiator. A shroud is disposed between a radiator and a water-cooled engine. A first air passage for blowing air toward the engine and its auxiliaries is formed in the upper side of the shroud, and a second air passage for discharging air having passed through the radiator to outside the engine compartment is formed in the lower side of the shroud. Accordingly, air is prevented from directly striking the engine and from passing around to the upstream side of the radiator through gaps between the walls of the engine compartment and the radiator. Thus the engine warm-up time is shortened without reducing the heat-radiation capacity of the radiator.

摘要: An air conditioning apparatus for a rear seat of a vehicle includes a centrifugal fan disposed at a downstream air side of an evaporator. The centrifugal fan is a backward curved fan having a plurality of blades each of which is curved backward relative to a rotation direction of the centrifugal fan. In the centrifugal fan, because a main component of velocity vector is in a radial direction of the centrifugal fan, a dynamical-pressure component of air blown from the centrifugal fan can be effectively changed to a hydrostatic-pressure component. Thus, during a cooler mode where air is simultaneously blown from first and second air outlets toward the rear space of the passenger compartment, a pressure of air blown from the first and second air outlets can be increased, and an amount of air blown toward the rear space of the passenger compartment can be sufficiently increased.

摘要: A filter is disposed so as to cross at right angle to an airflow from an inside air inlet and an outside air inlet to an inlet port. The filter is made of a filter element formed in a corrugated shape by folding and is deformable so that a width of the filter in the axis direction of said rotary door could be shortened. Thus, it is possible to shorten the width of the filter in the axial direction of the rotary shaft by deforming the outer shape of the filter, therefore, the filter is easily taken out from the inside air inlet. Furthermore, since the filter can be taken out from the inside air inlet, the filter can be attached or detached without disassembling the inside and outside air switching case and casing for a blower fan, the working efficiency for cleaning and changing the filter being thereby improved.
