    摘要: A novel gene that can be used to identify male-sterile cytoplasm in plants, for example, of the Cruciferae family, and a method for producing hybrid plants using this gene are provided. This novel cms cytoplasmic gene is valuable in that it can be utilized in the production of hybrid plant seeds. This invention is also useful for rapidly identifying Kosena cms cytoplasm, a novel cytoplasm which exhibits characteristics valuable in plant breeding. In addition, this gene may possibly be used to confer cms onto a broad range of plant species, not limited to those of the Cruciferae family, by its introduction into nuclear or mitochondrial genomes.

    摘要: A superior cement dispersant and a concrete composition containing the cement dispersant, the cement dispersant being a water-soluble amphoteric copolymer which contains an alkylene oxide adduct of a polyamide polyamine having an unsaturated group and at least two types of polyalkylene glycol ester. When the cement dispersant is compounded with a concrete composition, the dispersion performance thereof increases with time, and the concrete viscosity is effectively decreased. The cement dispersant composition contains a water-soluble amphoteric copolymer or the neutralized salt thereof as an essential component, which is obtained by copolymerizing an alkylene oxide adduct of a polyamide polyamine having an unsaturated group, (meta)acrylic acid or an alkali metal, ammonium, or alkanolamine salt thereof, an ester of an alkylene glycol and methacrylic acid, and an ester of an alkylene glycol and acrylic acid. In addition, the concrete composition containing the above cement dispersant is also disclosed.

    摘要: An object of the present invention is to clone a gene which is involved in synthesis of fatty acid having trans-11-, cis-13-conjugated double bonds from fatty acid having a double bone at position Δ12. The present invention provides a gene having any one of the following nucleotide sequences: (A) a nucleotide sequence encoding an amino acid sequence shown in SEQ ID NO: 1 or 12; (B) a nucleotide sequence encoding an amino acid sequence comprising a deletion, addition or substitution of one or several amino acids with respect to the amino acid sequence shown in SEQ NO: 1 or 12, and having an ability of synthesizing fatty acid having trans-11-, cis-13-conjugated double bonds from fatty acid having a double bond at position Δ12; (C) a nucleotide sequence shown in SEQ ID NO: 2 or 13; (D) a nucleotide sequence comprising a deletion, addition or substitution of one or several nucleotides with respect to the nucleotide sequence shown in SEQ ID NO: 2 or 13, and encoding a protein having an ability of synthesizing fatty acid having trans-11-, cis-13-conjugated double bonds from fatty acid having a double bond at position Δ12; and (E) a nucleotide sequence hybridizing with the nucleotide sequence shown in SEQ ID NO: 2 or 13 or a complementary sequence thereof under stringent conditions, and encoding a protein having an ability of synthesizing fatty acid having trans-11-, cis-13-conjugated double bonds from fatty acid having a double bond at position Δ12.
