摘要: A reflective liquid crystal display device is integrated with a liquid crystal display panel (1), detects display surface illuminance by a plurality of light sensors (10) provided in the vicinity of the display surface, and in accordance with the detection result, controls luminous intensity of a front light (lighting means) (19) using a lighting control circuit (22) so that the display surface illuminance becomes a predetermined magnitude. Even if the use environment of the reflective liquid crystal display device changes, or more specifically, intensity of external light shone from outside of the device into the display surface varies, the configuration allows controlling automatically the amount of emission from the front light to automatically maintain an appropriate display luminance and to reduce electric power consumption.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a driving state switching unit with a synchro-mechanism which employs a synchro-mechanism to perform switching of a driving state. The switching unit is equipped with a first gear (32) and a second gear (33) coaxially disposed, a gear connecting member (34) axially movable so that the first gear (32) and the second gear (33) can be connected, and a synchro-mechanism (35) interposed between the first gear (32) and the second gear (33). By moving the gear connecting member (34) by an electric actuator (50), the first gear (32) and the second gear (33) are connected, while they are being synchronized by the synchro-mechanism (35). When this occurs, control means (102) controls a supply current to the electric actuator (50), and judgement means (102) judges synchronization of the synchro-mechanism (35), based on a change in the supply current value to the electric actuator (50). With this, the judgement of the synchronization of the synchro-mechanism (35) is made possible without providing dedicated sensors, switches, etc., and an accurate judgement, corresponding even to an individual difference in the sliding resistance between members and a change in running conditions, is made possible.

摘要: A gear shift control system according to this invention includes a throttle opening sensor, a vehicle speed sensor and a controller for delivering a shift command signal to an automatic transmission. The controller is previously stored with shift lines, which divide the respective regions of gear-shift stages, on the basis of the throttle opening and the vehicle speed. The controller delivers the shift command signal to the transmission when any of the shift lines is crossed by a shift point which is defined by the throttle opening and the vehicle speed. Taking account of the changing rate of the throttle opening, the past throttle opening, and the acceleration of the vehicle, however, the controller calculates a decision value which is indicative of the running state of the vehicle, on the basis of the fuzzy theory. When the decision value exceeds a predetermined value, the controller corrects the shift lines depending on the running state.
