摘要: A system and method for automatically controlling a cruising speed of a vehicle which can maintain a vehicle speed at a desired cruising speed is disclosed in which a plurality of initialization signal values are set after an accelerator switch installed in a command switch is initially operated and thereafter is released and again operated to command a desired acceleration of the vehicle irrespective of the type of vehicle using the system, i.e., according to the vehicle speed. Second and third initialization signal values have predetermined functional relationships to a first initialization signal value which is set when the accelerator switch is initially operated. These signal values are, e.g., time widths for which a vacuum supply valve of a throttle valve actuator is opened so that an engine throttle valve is opened to increase the vehicle speed.

In detail, this invention is to provide a method of non-destructively measuring a moisture content of dried objects, comprising the steps of: introducing dried objects having different characters and shapes into a predetermined container; inserting four electrode terminals into the container; measuring electrical characteristics between two electrodes based on the dried objects and inputting measurement results into a high impedance voltmeter; and non-destructively measuring the moisture content of the dried objects. Further, an apparatus of the present invention comprises: a container having a predetermined capacity for accommodating the dried objects having different characters and shapes; four electrode terminals inserted into the container; an AC signal having a predetermined voltage to be applied to the electrode terminals; and a high impedance voltmeter for measuring electrical characteristics between two electrodes based on the dried objects and receiving measurement results.

摘要: A reflection electrode has an undulated shape and whose normal direction is distributed unevenly to a specific azimuth angle and whose reflection light intensity depends on said azimuth angle. Openings are formed in that area of the reflection electrode which has a tilt angle of 0 degree to 2 degrees and/or a tilt angle of 10 degrees or higher. The retardation of a liquid crystal layer is changed by making the liquid crystal molecular alignment mode different between the openings and the reflection electrode, so that the intensity of output light is increased in reflection mode as well as in transmission mode. The balance of colors displayed in transmission mode is determined by determining the area of the openings in pixels of each color, and the color temperature is set higher in transmission mode than in reflection mode. This provides a semi-transmission type liquid crystal display which has an excellent visibility in reflection mode as well as in transmission mode.
