    摘要： A polyphenylene ether resin composition comprising(A) a polyphenylene ether resin modified with a 1,2-substituted olefin compound having an acid anhydride group, the polyphenylene either resin before modification having structural units represented by the following ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents a lower alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and R.sup.2 and R.sup.3, independently from each other, represent a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, in the main chain, and(B) a polyamide resin having recurring units represented by the following formula (II)--R.sup.4 --NHCO--R.sup.5 --CONH-- (II) wherein R.sup.4 represents a xylylene group, and R.sup.5 represents a linear alkylene group having 4 to 10 carbon atoms.

    摘要： An improved method for dispersing an inorganic pigment uniformly in polyphenylene ether resins. A polyphenylene ether composition having an inorganic pigment uniformly dispersed therein is obtained by intimately mixing a polyphenylene ether resin and the inorganic pigment in a weight ratio of from 0.5:1 to 2:1 by a high-speed mixer to form a pre-blend, and then mixing the pre-blend intimately with a polyphenylene ether in a conventional mixer such as an extruder. The pre-blend can also be uniformly dispersed in a mixture of the polyphenylene ether with polystyrene, a styrene/butadiene copolymer, a styrene/butadiene/acrylonitrile terpolymer, or a rubber-modified high impact polystyrene.

    摘要： A novel resin composition improved in moldability and impact resistance, comprising (A) a polyphenylene oxide having a molecular weight of 5,000 or higher, (B) an aromatic hydrocarbon-formaldehyde resin or a modified aromatic hydrocarbon-formaldehyde resin, and, if necessary, (C) a rubbery polymer, the weight ratio of the resin (A) to the resin (B) being from 10:90 to 99:1 and the amount of the rubbery polymer (C) being 3 to 40 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the sum of the resins (A) and (B). This resin composition has excellent mechanical and electrical properties of the polyphenylene oxide together with an improved moldability, impact resistance, and adhesiveness.

    摘要： A polyphenylene ether resin composition having improved heat stability, said composition comprising a polyphenylene ether resin matrix, and dispersed therein, a phosphonic acid or its derivative of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents an unsubstituted or substituted phenyl or naphthyl group, or a linear or branched alkyl group with 1 to 18 carbon atoms, or a group of the following formula (a) ##STR2## R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are identical or different and each represents hydrogen atom, a metal, an unsubstituted or substituted phenyl group, or an alkyl group with 1 to 10 carbon atoms; and R.sub.4 is a divalent hydrocarbon group with 2 to 10 carbon atoms.
