    摘要: A power steering apparatus including a reaction control valve operable to be opened by a force proportional to a speed of a vehicle, and to be closed under a pressure in a reaction chamber. The pressure of a source of hydraulic pressure or a pressure proportional to the pressure of the hydraulic pressure source is applied so as to open the reaction control valve even when the vehicle speed exceeds a predetermined value. Thus, a steering reactive force, which would otherwise be limited at the predetermined speed of the vehicle, is controlled so as to be proportional at a proper ratio to a resistance from a road as it increases, thereby assuring more accurate steering of a vehicle.

    摘要: An improved power steering device which has a pinion shaft connected with a steering wheel, a rack rod which is connected with steerable wheels and whose rack is in mesh with the pinion of the pinion shaft in the gear box, a power cylinder for hydraulically actuating the rack rod, and a changeover valve for selectively connecting the first and second hydraulic chambers of the power cylinder with the hydraulic pressure source and the oil reservoir. The pinion shaft is rotatably supported in the oscillating cage which is rotatably mounted on the gear box in a manner such that the axis of the oscillating cage is offset a certain distance from the axis of the pinion shaft, whereby the oscillating cage rotates about its axis when the steering torque is applied to the pinion shaft. The oscillating cage is connected with the changeover valve so that the latter is actuated by the rotary movement of the oscillating cage. With this construction, the changeover valve can be made to respond accurately to the steering torque and at the same time it is possible to reduce the size and simplify the structure of the device.

    摘要: In an automatic transmission for a vehicle, a lock-up device is provided for a direct coupling clutch. The automatic transmission includes a fluid type torque converter having a hydraulic direct coupling clutch, and an auxiliary transmission having plural stages of gear trains. The lock-up control device has a valve for controlling the supply of oil pressure from a common oil pressure source to the direct coupling clutch, the valve having a body movable between opposite end positions and adapted to take a first switch position at one of the end positions when applied with a single signal pressure and a second switch position at the other end position, after release of the signal pressure, due to resilient force of a spring. The valve allows flow of the actuating oil pressure to the direct coupling clutch when the valve body is at both the first and second switch positions and interrupts the flow during shifting movement of the valve body from the first to second positions or vice versa. Thus, the direct coupling clutch is instantaneously disconnected during gear shifting operation over adjacent three gear ratios with use of the single signal pressure.

    摘要: A creep-inhibiting device for use in an automotive vehicle equipped with an engine and a transmission mechanism coupled in series to a fluid coupling and having a frictionally engaging element. The device includes engine load sensor means for producing a signal fluid having a pressure representative of engine load, control means interposed between the frictionally engaging element and an operating fluid source, and a fluid line for delivering the signal fluid from the engine load sensor means to the control means.     摘要: A power steering system for vehicles includes a four-way valve slidable in response to applied steering torque for selectively connecting a pair of hydraulic oil chambers of a servo cylinder to a hydraulic pressure source and an oil reservoir. A pair of hydraulic rection chambers are disposed one on each side of the four-way valve and each contain a pair of plungers and a spring interposed therebetween. The plungers are held by and between a pair of diametrical pins supported on the valve and spaced axially from each other. When the reaction chambers are pressurized by an increased speed of the vehicle or a change in resistance from the road surface, the plungers are urged against the pins on the valve to prevent the latter from being slid axially, thereby allowing the driver of the vehicle to feel a suitable resistance to turning of the steering wheel without being assisted by auxiliary power from the servo cylinder.
