摘要: By using a semiconductor laser of a relatively long wavelength relative to the track pitch of an optical recording medium, and the optical super-resolution technique, there are provided an optical head and an optical recording apparatus which permit processing such as recording and regeneration onto and from a conventional CD-R with no problems, and processing of an optical recording medium of the DVD standard with a high recording density. In the optical head and the optical recording apparatus of the present invention, a semiconductor laser having a relatively long wavelength relative to the track pitch of an optical recording medium can be used. The invention therefore provides an optical head and an optical recording apparatus which overcome the limit on efforts toward a higher density, and permit recording and regeneration at a high recording density at a low cost with a high reliability. The invention provides also an optical head and an optical recording apparatus capable of coping with the tendency toward a higher density in the future.

摘要: An exposure device includes a first light source column, a second light source column, and a light converger. A distance along a first direction between the center of a first light source of the first light source column and the center of a second light source of the second light source column, which is located to a second direction relative to the first light source, is larger than a distance along the first direction between the center of a third light source of the first light source column, which is located farther from an optical axis of the light converger than the first light source and the center of a fourth light source of the second light source column, which is located to the second direction relative to the third light source.

摘要: An optical recording regeneration apparatus with a compensation circuit is provided. In the apparatus, a recording state detection circuit detects the recording state of recorded data and generates state data indicative of the recording state. A modulation control circuit compares the state data with a specified value and generates the comparison results. A drive circuit adjusts the power level and/or the pulse width of the laser beam in accordance with the comparison results. Thus, the power level and/or the pulse width of the laser beam can maintain at an optimum value without being affected by variations in disk recording sensitivity resulting from temperature or other changes over time.

(a) Measuring a light intensity of the each electro optical element when the same gray scale value is specified to each of the electro optical elements. (b) Determining the correction value for each of the plurality of electro optical elements so that a light intensity after correction of one of the electro optical elements when a predetermined gray scale value is specified thereto whose light intensity measured in step (a) is a first light intensity exceeds a light intensity after correction of another one of the electro elements when the predetermined gray scale value is specified thereto whose light intensity measured in step (a) is a second light intensity which exceeds the first light intensity.

The first electrode includes a first metallic material in which either a first passivation film forms on a surface thereof or the first passivation film present on the surface thereof is lost, in association with changes in the pH of a measurement site. The second electrode includes a second metallic material different from the first metallic material, and is spaced apart from the first electrode. The coating film includes a third metallic material different from the first and second metallic materials. The coating film covers at least the first or second electrode. The functional element is configured to measure a difference in electric potential between the first and second electrodes that changes depending on presence or absence of each of the first passivation film and the coating film in association with the changes in pH.
