preferably a total alkalinity regulation unit, configured to increase or decrease the total alkalinity of the body of water as a function of the measured total alkalinity value and a target total alkalinity value.-

摘要: Various apparatus, systems, and methods for measuring a solution characteristic of a sample comprising microorganisms are disclosed. In one embodiment, a sensor apparatus is disclosed comprising a sample container comprising a sample chamber configured to receive the sample and a reference sensor component comprising a reference conduit having a reference conduit cavity defined therein. The reference conduit cavity can be at least partially filled with a reference buffer gel, buffer solution, or wicking component. A segment of the reference conduit can extend into the sample chamber. A reference electrode material can be positioned at a proximal end of the wicking component or extend partially into the reference conduit cavity. The sensor apparatus can also comprise an active sensor component having an active electrode in fluid contact with the sample. The sample in the sample chamber can be aerated through an aeration port defined along a surface of the sample container.

摘要: A self-vibrating pH probe comprise a housing containing an electronic assembly to which is coupled a vibration source element so that at least a portion of vibrations caused by the vibration source element propagate to the electronic assembly, the vibration source element being controllable for at least on/off operation. The self-vibrating pH probe further comprising a pH probe member having a probe tip at a first end, the probe member extending from the housing and mechanically and electrically coupled by a second end to the electronic assembly so that at least a portion of vibrations propagating to the electronic assembly further propagate to the probe tip; and further including a processor coupled to the electronic assembly for coordinating operation of the vibration source element and operation of the pH probe member.

摘要: A pH sensor for detecting a pH of a sample includes a reference electrode and a glass electrode. The reference electrode includes a hollow tubular housing, and at least one water absorbing unit disposed in the housing and including a porous junction member configured to contact the sample, and a water absorbing member disposed on one side of the porous junction member that is opposite to the sample. The water absorbing member is made by soaking a superabsorbent polymer in potassium chloride solution. The glass electrode is inserted into the water absorbing member, and protrudes from the junction member toward the sample.

摘要: A pH sensing probe configured to be exposed to a process fluid is provided. The pH sensing probe includes a sensor body and a pH electrode mounted to the sensor body. A primary reference electrode is mounted to the sensor body and has a primary reference junction that is configured to be exposed to the process fluid. A secondary reference electrode is mounted to the sensor body and has a secondary reference junction configured to be exposed to the process fluid. A seal isolates the secondary reference junction from the process fluid until deterioration of the primary reference junction. A pH sensing system and a method of operating a pH sensing system are also provided.

摘要: A water quality monitor system comprising a base having a first end and a second end is disclosed. A cover is removably coupled to the first end of the base such that the cover surrounds and covers the first end of the base. A flow cell jar is connected to the second end of the base. A sensor probe is connected to the second end of the base and extends downward into the flow cell jar. The sensor probe is configured to measure a plurality of water quality parameters. The base includes an inlet and an outlet connected to opposing ends of the base and connected in-line to the plumbing of a pool recirculation system. A controller is configured to provide a connection between the water quality monitor and a cloud-based storage system, using a wireless network. The measured water quality parameters are transmitted to the cloud storage system.

摘要: Disclosed are methods and devices for detection of ion migration and binding, utilizing a nanopipette adapted for use in an electrochemical sensing circuit. The nanopipette may be functionalized on its interior bore with metal chelators for binding and sensing metal ions or other specific binding molecules such as boronic acid for binding and sensing glucose. Such a functionalized nanopipette is comprised in an electrical sensor that detects when the nanopipette selectively and reversibly binds ions or small molecules. Also disclosed is a nanoreactor, comprising a nanopipette, for controlling precipitation in aqueous solutions by voltage-directed ion migration, wherein ions may be directed out of the interior bore by a repulsing charge in the bore.
