摘要: If a new AV device is connected to an IEEE 1394 network, and if the subunit type of the newly connected AV device is an unregistered subunit type, then a microprocessor of a gateway downloads a CGI and a Web page generation module, both corresponding to the newly connected AV device, to the gateway from an information device on an IP network or from the newly connected AV device. Thus, using the Web page generation module corresponding to the newly connected AV device, the microprocessor of the gateway can automatically generate a Web page to operate such new AV device. Hence, using the Web page sent from the gateway and using the CGI (command conversion module), which is stored in the gateway and which corresponds to the newly connected AV device, an information device on the IP network can control the newly connected AV device, wherein the latter information device for control of the newly connected AV device can be either the same as or different from the former information device for download of the CGI and the Web page generation module.

摘要: A precise positioning method and system is disclosed wherein at least one ground transmitter is used for transmitting a ranging signal with code modulation. The at least one ground transmitter is configured to receive a signal from at least one satellite and a second ground transmitter. The at least one ground transmitter measures a code phase of the received signals. The measured code phase information is communicated to a rover that is associated with a user. The rover can determine the user's precise position based on the measured code and/or carrier phase information and a clock correction model.

摘要: A network server connected via a network to a content playback device that requests content. The network server comprises: content information creating means for creating content information including the fine name of the content and a content URI including playback stop position information concerning the content; and recording means for recording the content and the content information. When receiving a request message for requesting content from the content playback device, a processor in the network server retrieves the content requested by the content playback device from the recording means and then sends the retrieved content to the content playback device. When determining that the content playback device has stopped playback of the content, the processor causes the content information creating means to create content information (content information for resuming) having a content URI including playback stop position information concerning the requested content.

摘要: Vehicles, such as vehicles in an open-pit mine, are visually tracked. The location of a vehicle is determined using radio frequency signals, such as pseudolite transmissions of ranging signals. The camera is steered based on the location. For example, multiple cameras are directed automatically on a vehicle based on the vehicle position. Images from a plurality of perspectives are provided to resolve or prevent a problem. The directing may include zooming for better viewing of vehicles at different distances from the camera. The directing may be incorporated into a vehicle management system, such as a dispatch system. For example, a user selects a vehicle from a list of managed vehicles or a displayed map, and the cameras are steered to view the selected vehicle based on the position of the vehicle.

摘要: A portable television-broadcast reception unit is provided which is capable of changing the direction of a directional antenna easily to a direction where an enough quality to watch television can be obtained. In this unit: a television-broadcast reception section 20 receives a broadcast wave using a directional antenna 10; a direction measurement section 60 measures the direction of the directional antenna 10; an electric-field strength measurement section 70 measures the electric-field strength value of the received broadcast wave; a storage section 30 stores an electric-field strength management table which includes the direction measured by the direction measurement section 60 and the electric-field strength value measured by the electric-field strength measurement section 70; a control section 40 controls the measurement of the direction and the measurement of the electric-field strength, updates the electric-field strength management table and selects the direction where the maximum electric-field strength value can be obtained; an image-turn processing section 80 turns the received image so that the upper part of the image is oriented to the direction where the maximum electric-field strength value can be obtained; and a display section 50 displays the turned image.
