Abstract:
Methods, compositions and kits for concentrating or separating cells containing target nucleic acid are disclosed, especially m mixtures containing the cells and other components such as impurities. The methods can keep a large proportion of the cells intact, allowing the cells to be employed after separation (e.g. cultured) and/or which facilitates the recovery of nucleic acid from the cells. The method employs flocculating agents, such as polyamines or cationic detergents, to form complexes with cells causing them to aggregate and so separated from other components of the mixture. Conveniently, the separation of the aggregated cells can be effected with a solid phase which is capable of binding the cells, such as magnetic beads or filters.
Abstract:
A method for determining resources to be decoded by the UE to retrieve physical downlink control channels. A method is in a UE or an eNB and comprises the following steps of: i. determining a start position of a unit of resources in one physical resource block pair; ii. determining a gap between two of the units; and iii. determining a set of units, in a given plurality of physical resource block pairs, according to said start position and said gap, as the resources to be decoded. In this way, the eNB and the UE can locate all the resources for the EPDCCH, namely the search space is determined. This aspect allows a balance between the number of blind decoding and eNB scheduling flexibility in the EPDCCH search space.
Abstract:
A curved lens protector can include a tempered glass body having a self-supporting x-y axis curve with a concave inner surface and a convex outer surface opposite the inner surface. The tempered glass body can have an outer boundary of a predetermined shape to substantially match and fit with respect to an inner boundary of a lens holder portion of a predetermined lens frame. The tempered glass body can be configured for attachment to a predetermined curved lens without the use of an adhesive.

A curved lens protector can include a transparent body having a self-supporting x-y axis curve with a concave inner surface and a convex outer surface opposite the inner surface. The transparent body can have an outer boundary of a predetermined shape to substantially match and fit with respect to an inner boundary of a lens holder portion of a predetermined lens frame. The transparent body can be configured for attachment to a predetermined curved lens without the use of an adhesive.
Abstract:
The following relates to a method, apparatus and computer program for a mobile transceiver 200 and a base station transceiver 300 of a cellular mobile communication network communicating with the mobile transceiver 200 using packet switched data, the mobile communication network comprising a plurality of base station transceivers 300, 301. A base station transceiver 300, 301 operating one or more cells 300a, 301a. The mobile station is associated with a first cell 300a. Interference reduction information is received from a second cell 301a, the interference reduction information comprising an indication on a request of the second cell 301a to reduce the transmission power of the mobile transceiver 200 to reduce the interference power received at the second cell 301a. A transmission power of the mobile transceiver 200 is reduced based on the interference reduction information from the second cell 301a and based on a reduction criterion.
Abstract:
One embodiment of a method for inter-base station signaling includes receiving, at a first base station, first information from a second base station. The first information indicates commitments regarding transmission power by the second base station. The embodiment further includes determining, at the first base station, whether the second base station will follow the commitments indicated in the first infatuation based on second information. The second information indicates for at least one of the first and second base stations which subframes in a series of subframes will be special subframes. Each special subframe has at least one of less transmit power than a maximum transmission power and less data than a fully loaded subframe.

The reduction criterion being such that the transmission power of the mobile transceiver 200 is reduced by less than requested by the interference reduction information.
Abstract:
One embodiment of the invention provides a mechanism to assist the eNodeB of the second cell, for example macrocell eNodeB or femtocell eNodeB to determine the configuration of ABSs. To be specific, the eNodeB of the first cell sends a request signaling to the eNodeB of the second cell to inform of the requirement for ABSs. The eNodeB of the second cell receives the request signaling from the eNodeB of the first cell, and then it determines the pattern of ABSs and sends the pattern of ABSs in the form of bitmap through a signaling to the eNodeB of the first cell. As the requirement for ABSs is determined by the eNodeB of the first cell on the basis of the number of the UEs and/or the traffic load of the UEs which are near the edge of coverage area of the picocell, it can help the eNodeB of the second cell to determine the configuration of ABSs, i.e. the pattern of ABSs, so that the efficient resource utilization is achieved.
Abstract:
The invention proposes method of providing measurement reports. The eNodeB sends (S10, S11) a user equipment information about a plurality of subframe patterns used by a plurality of wireless networks respectively, and notifies (S12, S13) the user equipment associations between the measurement reports and said plurality of subframe patterns. The user equipment measures (S14) channel information in at least one subframe patterns, generates measurement reports for said at least one sub-frame frame patterns according to said association, and sends (S15, S16) said measurement reports to said eNodeB. The eNodeB relates (S17) each of the received measurement reports with the corresponding subframe pattern according to said association.
Abstract:
The invention provides modified forms of bouganin protein having biological activity and a reduced propensity to activate human T cells as compared to the non-modified bouganin protein. The invention also provides T-cell epitope peptides of bouganin, and modified T-cell epitope peptides of bouganin which have a reduced propensity to activate human T cells as compared to the non-modified T-cell epitope peptide. The invention also provides cytotoxins having the having a ligand that binds to a cancer cells attached to the modified bouganin proteins. Also provided are methods of inhibiting or destroying mammalian cancer cells using the cytotoxins of the invention and pharmaceutical compositions for treating human cancer.
