    摘要: A therapeutic system comprises a therapy module to direct a therapeutic action, e.g. focused ultrasound or RF energy to a target. An imaging module such as an magnetic resonance examination system generates image information of a therapy region that includes the target. By way of a motion analysis module a motion vector field is derived from the image information of the therapy region. A control module controls the therapy module on the basis of the motion vector field. Notably, on the basis of the motion vector field an accurate temperature distribution is derived from magnetic resonance signals and the motion vector field. Also magnetic resonance elastography data may be employed to improve the accuracy of the temperature distribution.

    摘要: In the CT imaging of non-homogeneously moving objects such as the heart or the coronary vessel tree, there is a problem that different parts of the objects are at rest at different points in time. Thus, a gated reconstruction with a globally selected time point does not yield a sharp image of such objects. According to the present invention, a motion of the object is estimated, describing the motion of selected regions of these objects. Then, on the basis of the estimated motion, time points are determined, where these areas have minimal motion. Then, an image is reconstructed, wherein the data from which the respective regions are reconstructed, correspond to the respective time points, where the regions have minimal motion. Due to this, an improved image quality may be provided.

    摘要: A diagnostic imaging system, notably a magnetic resonance imaging system comprises a receiver antenna for picking-up magnetic resonance signals and an ultrasound probe for receiving ultrasound echoes. A reconstruction unit is arranged to reconstruct a diagnostic image from the magnetic resonance signals and the ultrasound echoes in particular, the magnetic resonance image and ultrasound images are registered in a common reference frame and geometric distortions in the ultrasound image are corrected on the basis of the magnetic resonance image. Different tissues types are distinguished in the magnetic resonance image and corrections are made for differences between ultrasound sound velocities in these tissue types. Further, information contained in the magnetic resonance signals can be displayed in combination in the ultrasound echoes.

The system (100) may further comprise a computing unit (130) for computing sparse vector fields comprising vectors of displacements of vertices of the adapted model meshes, an approximation unit (140) for computing dense vector fields on the basis of the sparse vector fields, a merge unit (150) for merging image data sets by means of the computed dense vector fields, and a reconstruction unit (155) for reconstructing a motion-compensated image data from the computed dense vector fields. The described system (100) is capable of reducing motion artifacts in tomographic images computed from data acquired at a plurality of different cardiac cycle phases.
