摘要:
A node (100; 300) of a mobile network is responsible for scheduling transmissions of data blocks between the mobile network and a terminal device (200, 200′). The node (100; 300) may for example be a base station (100) or a control node (300) of the mobile network. The node (100; 300) determines a processing time required by the terminal device (200; 200′) for processing signals for transmission of one of the data blocks. The processing time is determined from a plurality of supported processing times. On the basis of the determined processing time, the node (100; 300) schedules the transmission of the data block. The terminal device (200, 200′) may provide control data for determining the processing time to the node (100; 300).

摘要:
In a mobile network, the transmission of downlink data blocks to one or more terminal devices is accomplished on the basis of a retransmission protocol with a first feedback time defining a time interval between transmission of a first data block and transmission of a first feedback message being different from a second feedback time defining a time interval between transmission of a second data block and transmission of a second feedback message. The first feedback message indicates whether the first data block was successfully received, and the second feedback message indicates whether the second data block was successfully received. A base station of the mobile network controls the terminal device to send the second feedback message on other resources than used for transmission of the first feedback message.

In a mobile network, the transmission of downlink data blocks (303, 307) to one or more terminal devices (200, 210) is accomplished on the basis of a retransmission protocol with a first feedback time (F1) defining a time interval between transmission of a first data block (303) and transmission of a first feedback message (308) being different from a second feedback time (F2) defining a time interval between transmission of a second data block (307) and transmission of a second feedback message (309). The first feedback message (308) indicates whether the first data block (303) was successfully received, and the second feedback message (309) indicates whether the second data block (307) was successfully received. A base station (100) of the mobile network controls the terminal device (200, 210) to send the second feedback message (309) on other resources than used for transmission of the first feedback message (308).

A radio communication system and a method for assigning a short-lived Cell Radio Network Temporary Identifier, “CRNTI”, to a first user equipment performing random access to a radio network node are provided. The radio communication system registers the first user equipment as connected to the radio network node. A message for synchronizing the radio network node and the first user equipment with respect to the first time period is transferred. After the first time period has elapsed, the radio communication system maintains the first user equipment connected to the radio network node, and allows the short-lived CRNTI to be assigned to a second user equipment.
摘要:
In transmission of paging information from a mobile network to a terminal device (200), the terminal device applies a discontinuous reception cycle to enter a sleep mode. Further, the terminal device determines an advance wakeup time (AW) for leaving the sleep mode. The advance wakeup time (AW) is advanced by an advancement time interval (ΔA) with respect to a start of an active time of the discontinuous reception cycle. At the determined advance wakeup time (AW), the terminal device leaves the sleep mode and starts monitoring the downlink control channel with respect to paging configuration information transmitted by the mobile network. The paging configuration information defines a paging occasion for transmission of the paging information. On the basis of the paging configuration information, the terminal device monitors the paging occasion to receive the paging information from the mobile network.

A method may be provided in a wireless terminal to modify access to a Radio Access Network. The method may include providing a barring rate at the wireless terminal and providing a barring rate modifier at the wireless terminal. A modified barring rate may be provided at the wireless terminal responsive to the barring rate and the barring rate modifier with the modified barring rate and the barring rate being different. A random number may be provided at the wireless terminal responsive to attempting to access the Radio Access Network, and access of the wireless terminal to the Radio Access Network may be blocked responsive to the random number failing to satisfy a threshold of the modified barring rate. Related wireless terminals, network nodes, and network operations are also discussed.

A method is provided for use in a communications network in which a plurality of accesses are available to a user entity for accessing a network resource, comprising: determining a set of active rules, each rule specifying respective preferences, at least relatively, for at least some of the plurality of accesses, with potential for conflict between the rules of the set concerning which access is most preferred; deriving from the set of active rules network discovery and selection rules a new rule specifying respective preferences, at least relatively, for at least some of the plurality of accesses; and selecting an access for use by the user entity based on the new rule.
