The invention relates to a process for preparing diorganyldihalosilanes of the general formula (1) R2SiX2 (1), in which dihalodihydrosilanes of the general formula (2) X2SiH2 (2), in a mixture with silanes of the general formula (3) R′3SiH (3), are reacted with halogenated hydrocarbons of the general formula (4) R-X (4), in the presence of a free-radical initiator, which is selected from alkanes, diazenes and organodisilanes, where R is a monovalent C1-C18 hydrocarbon radical, R′ is a monovalent C1-C18 hydrocarbon radical, hydrogen or halogen, and X is halogen.

An insertion instrument for hip endoprosthetics for inserting socket inserts into endoprosthetic hip sockets having holding claws which are connected to a substantially ring-shaped support element through spring elements, wherein the insertion instrument can be placed on the socket insert and can be connected to said socket insert through the holding claws. In order for the user to receive direct palpatory information about the events in the operation areas and to not suffer a perceived loss of control, it is proposed that the support element surround a freely accessible, substantially circular effective insertion area, the center point of which is located on the longitudinal axis of the insertion instrument.

Method for influencing the propulsive power of a motor vehicle driven by a drive motor. An intervention variable, influencing the torque of the drive motor, is ascertained as a function of the wheel behavior of at least one wheel of the motor vehicle, and/or as a function of the motion of the motor vehicle. The drive motor is acted upon with the intervention variable to limit the propulsive power of the motor vehicle. An easily manipulated, safe, and reliable capability for automatically detecting situations in which the driver desires a greater propulsive power and making a greater propulsive power available in those situations, a motor vehicle with a slip control system is created. Evaluating a pedal variable that describes the actuation of an accelerator pedal of the motor vehicle, or a limitation variable that describes the number of limitations of driver stipulations resulting from the ascertaining of the intervention variable within a definable time window. Correcting the intervention variable, as a function of the pedal variable or the limitation variable, toward a corresponding greater propulsive power.

A method for the operational test measurement of a lambda probe, particularly for the purpose of calibrating and/or determining the status of the lambda probe, wherein pure air is circulated around a probe head of the lambda probe is disclosed. The method has the following steps: —insertion of the lambda probe into a flow receptacle which is separate from an engine construction, in such a manner that an air stream (L) can be circulated around the probe head; generation of an air stream (L) in the flow receptacle; evaluation of probe measurement signals (S), wherein a calibration value is obtained and/or a heating current of the lambda probe is evaluated. A device for carrying out the method, as well as a system, is also disclosed herein.

The invention is directed to a method and an arrangement for controlling the driving speed of a vehicle. The method and arrangement make possible a use of a driving speed controller even for adverse road conditions. A desired value (VDES) is inputted for the driving speed in dependence upon the friction contact between the vehicle wheels and the roadway. Control of the driving speed is deactivated during intervention of the drive slip control in the drive power of the vehicle. The desired value (VDES) for the driving speed is reduced after the intervention of the drive slip control.

An exemplary method is described for influencing the moment delivered by a vehicle drive of a vehicle. In this method a change in load which occurs during cornering of the vehicle is detected, upon detection a minimum value of an intervention quantity which influences the torque delivered is determined and the vehicle drive is acted upon by the minimum value of the intervention quantity for a selectable period of time. To achieve an improvement in the change in load performance of a vehicle in cornering and an improvement in the driving performance of the vehicle in coasting operation, the minimum value determined for the intervention quantity and/or the period of time is corrected as a function of the coefficient of friction of the road surface on which the vehicle is traveling and/or as a function of a deceleration of the vehicle.

An insertion instrument for instrumented insertion of a socket inset (4) with a spherical cap (20) into a hip socket (5) of a hip-joint prosthesis, having an impacting instrument (1) with a handle (7), at one end of which a holding tool for the socket inset (4) is located. In order to avoid tilting of the socket inset during insertion, it is proposed that the one end (8) of the impacting instrument (1) has a spherical shape and is part of the holding tool, and the holding tool furthermore comprises an impacting head (2), which is designed as a separate component and received the spherical end (8) of the impacting instrument (1) in an articulated manner, and an insertion aid (3), which is designed as a separate component and serves to hold the socket inset (4) on the outer geometry of the impacting head (2), and the impacting head (2) can be connected to the spherical end (8) to form a ball joint.

A method for automatic lambda control of an internal combustion engine, in which, upon detection of a predetermined operating state of the internal combustion engine, a calibration factor (KAL) is determined and in which, during the operation of the internal combustion engine, a lambda measuring signal (iP) is corrected by the calibration factor (KAL) and is set as the actual lambda value (Lam(IST)) for the automatic lambda control of the internal combustion engine. The predetermined operating state is recognized when an engine coastdown is initiated.
