    摘要： A video processing apparatus is described. The video processing apparatus includes a video decoder, a deinterlacer, a PIP (picture-in-picture) module and a PIP characteristic controller. The video decoder receives a video signal and decodes the video signal into a digital video signal. The deinterlacer receives the digital video signal and generates a non-interlacing signal. The PIP module overlaps the non-interlacing signal, in response to a PIP characteristic signal, with a screen signal and generates a PIP video that can be played by a display. The PIP characteristic controller generates the PIP characteristic signal in response to a PIP command. The PIP command comes from a computer. The deinterlacer and the PIP module are realized by hardware.

The video signal processing apparatus has a tuner, a video processor, a non-interlaced signal processing unit, a microprocessor, and a computer signal converter. In the video signal processing apparatus, the display can be instantly turned on and the video signal can be recorded in the storage media of a computer, and the video signal recorded in the storage media can be displayed on the display. While watching the video signal on the display, a user can execute applications in the computer simultaneously. The video signal processing apparatus further provides picture-in-picture feature by adding another set of tuner and video processor. The video signal processing apparatus can be integrated with a display or a computer, and can also be used as an external-enclosure video signal processing apparatus.

The computer system has a computer mode and a direct media access mode. In the computer mode, the computer is turned on and the bus switch switches the bus data from the media access device to the computer for general use. In the direct media access mode, the computer is turned off and the bus switch switches the bus data from the media access device to the MPEG decoder. The MPEG decoder performs decoding and outputs a video stream to be displayed on the display.

The broadcasting video program provision system includes a first data server, a second data server and a portal site. By the first data server, first broadcasting video program signals broadcast in a first area are received and converted into first stream data. By the second data server, second broadcasting video program signals broadcast in a second area are received and converted into second stream data, wherein the first area and the second area are covered by different broadcasting services. In response to an instruction issued from the user's host through the internet, the portal site transmits the first stream data or the second stream data to the user's host through the internet.
