Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer readable storage media of sidelink positioning. The method comprises: receiving, from a network node, configuration information comprising at least one configuration of sidelink positioning reference signal and at least one identifier of at least one radio beam, wherein the sidelink positioning reference signal is transmitted between a first user equipment and a second user equipment; determining information for controlling a transmission of sidelink positioning reference signal from the first user equipment; transmitting, to the first user equipment, a message comprising the determined information; and receiving, from the first user equipment, the sidelink positioning reference signal.

Various example embodiments are described in which a network node transmits to a user device preconfiguration information for a plurality of on-demand positioning signal (ODPS) preconfigurations. An ODPS preconfiguration may be selected and communicated. The transmitted ODPS preconfiguration may be a request for transmission, or a notice of transmission, of the selected ODPS. An ODPS, which is associated with or based on the selected ODPS preconfiguration, may be transmitted. The ODPS may include any positioning signal (e.g., any signal that may be used for positioning) that may be transmitted upon request or as needed, and, e.g., may include downlink on-demand positioning reference signals (ODPRS), uplink on-demand sounding reference signals (ODSRS), or other positioning or reference signal.
Abstract:
Improved systems and techniques for communication in an environment in which muting of resources is used to avoid interference between cells. If a cell, represented by a macro eNB for example, is muting resources, those resources can be made available, under appropriate conditions, to user devices, such as UEs, engaging in device to device communication. Allocation of muted resources to D2D UEs can be based on meeting of conditions, such as that the D2D UEs be outside of a specified proximity to a cell, such as a small cell, using the resources, or that the D2D UEs transmit at less than a specified power. The UEs may take measurements to determine if the conditions are met and report the measurements to their base stations, which then determine whether to allocate the muted resources and configure the UEs with resource allocation information.

Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to sidelink positioning session establishment. In an aspect, a terminal device obtains session information associated with a first sidelink positioning session, and determines, based on the session information, difference information between the first sidelink positioning session and a second sidelink positioning session in which the terminal device is a target device. The terminal device transmits a positioning request for determining at least one anchor device to perform the second sidelink positioning session, wherein the positioning request comprises the difference information. The terminal device performs the second sidelink positioning session with the at least one anchor device. The embodiments of the present disclosure can immediately activate the target device in an efficient manner with reduced signaling overhead and latency.
