    摘要: A capsule endoscope is swallowed by a patient, to capture images from inner wall surfaces of patient's digestive tract, while detecting imaging positions of the capsule endoscope. A doctor observes the images captured by the capsule endoscope, to select an aimed point image that contains a portion suspected of a lesion, and some images that represent pass points on an insertion route of a balloon endoscope. While a probing tip of the balloon endoscope is being inserted into the patient for the sake of thorough examination of the suspected portion, a degree of similarity between an image captured by the balloon endoscope and an image of a destination point, which is one of the pass points and the aimed point, is detected to judge by the similarity whether the probing tip has reached the destination point or not. So the doctor can get the probing tip to the aimed point easily.

    摘要: In a printing system, a developed photo filmstrip is put in a film scanner to pick up image data from all picture frames photographed on the filmstrip. An index image of the picture frames is displayed based on the image data, so a user selects picture frames to print with reference to the index image while designating a print size to each picture frame. The image data of each designated picture frame is compressed at a rate that is decided according to the print size. The higher compression rate is used for the smaller the print size. The compressed image data and print order data are transferred to a work station of a photofinisher. The photofinisher reproduces the original image data from the compressed image data, and makes prints based on the image data and print order data.

    摘要: A method of making photographic prints wherein photographic data relating to photographic conditions of an original frame is recorded on a photographic film at the time of photographing the original frame, so as to determine the print exposure amount for printing the original frame. When it is determined with reference to the photographic data that a primary subject of the original frame has a proper density on the photographic film, the original frame is printed at a basic print exposure amount which is determined without using density data of the original frame. If it is determined with reference to the photographic data that the basic print exposure amount should be corrected for the original frame, an exposure correction amount is calculated based on the photographic data and/or the density data of the original frame. The photographic data is, for example, discrimination data for indicating whether the original frame has been photographed under a proper exposure control, or brightness values measured in a plurality of divisional areas. The photographic data may also be primary subject position data for deriving the density of the primary subject from the density data of the original frame.
