摘要: The present invention relates to acrylic block polymers, either block copolymers or homopolymers, synthesized by a controlled free-radical process, and their use as low temperature flow modifiers in bio-derived fuel compositions. They are especially useful in modifying the low temperature flow behavior in bio-derived fuels. The acrylic polymers are especially useful as cold filter plugging control additives in bio-derived fuels.

摘要: The present invention relates to a class of acid functionalized gradient block copolymers, processes for obtaining them and to their uses including but not limited to hair fixatives, toughening agents, and adhesives. Surprisingly, the applicants have discovered the aforementioned class of acid functionalized gradient block copolymers have advantageous properties and can find utility in a wide variety of application areas. These polymers are easily prepared by sequential monomer addition (i.e., “one-pot” synthesis) and the process does not require any post polymerization modification steps. The aforementioned polymers are derived from commonly utilized monomers. The use of common monomers provides both an economic advantage and an inherent safety advantage, e.g., the common monomers are considered biocompatible.

摘要: The invention relates to an amphiphilic block copolymer having an increased speed of water adsorption. The non-water soluble copolymer, having a hydrophilic middle block and hydrophobic endblocks, has a high rate water transmission and/or permeation. The increase in rate is due to neutralization, or partial neutralization of the hydrophilic block of the copolymer. Furthermore, the absorption rate can be controlled by the extent of the neutralization. Another aspect of the invention is the use of co-monomers and/or additives to further increase or tailor the water absorption properties. The use of additives and comonomers is also shown to enhance the processability of the disclosed polymer composition.

摘要: The invention relates to an amphiphilic block copolymer having an increased speed of water adsorption. 摘要: The present invention relates to polymeric oil-return agents which solubilize or disperse mineral oil and/or synthetic oil lubricants with hydrofluorocarbon, hydrochlorofluorocarbon, and hydrofluoroolefin-based refrigerants and refrigerant compositions containing them. The polymeric oil-return agents are random copolymers containing less than about 30 wt % fluorine and produced from at least one monomer providing compatibility with the oil phase and at least one monomer providing compatibility with the refrigerant phase. The polymeric oil-return agents provide for more efficient return of mineral oil and/or synthetic oil lubricants from non-compressor zones back to a compressor zone in a refrigeration system.

摘要: The present invention relates to fluorine free polymeric oil-return agents that increase the miscibility of lubricants such as mineral oils and/or oxygenated lubricants with refrigerants in order to improve oil return and system performance of refrigeration systems. It was discovered that fluorine free block copolymers having a block compatible with the oil phase, and at least one block compatible with the refrigerant phase can effectively compatibilize lubricating oils with HFC and HFO refrigerants.
