Abstract:
The electric motor is provided with an attached frequency converter for rotational speed control. The frequency converter consists of a power supply and other electronic elements. While these electronic elements are arranged as a constructive unit with the electric motor, the power supply is arranged as an individual constructive unit separated from the motor, in the form of a module. The module can be made separately from the motor and electrically connected to the motor constructive unit through a connective cable. The use of the motor is no longer dependent on cooling radiators, required for the cooling of the power supply, as only the module is now fitted with cooling radiators.
Abstract:
A pump assembly for delivering liquids or gases include a pump and an electromotor for driving the pump, the speed and/or torque of the electromotor being made variable by a static frequency converter. The frequency converter can be miniaturized by highly-integrated circuits and other provisions for a sufficient emission of dissipation heat. The frequency converter is arranged inside or on the pump assembly, forming a structural unit with pump assembly, and the dissipation heat of the frequency converter is emitted by the fluid delivered or to be delivered by the pump assembly, the fluid acting as dissipator.
Abstract:
A height adjusting device for machines or machine elements comprises three adjustment members positioned atop one another and together determining two sets of opposing surfaces. These surfaces allow a gyroscopic movement of the uppermost adjustment member, and the height of the height adjusting device can be adjusted stepwise, one of the two opposing surfaces in the first set of surfaces comprising one or more aligned supporting projections. These projections can cooperate selectively and tiltably with one or more recesses in a row of recesses in the second surface of the first set of surfaces. The depth of the recesses in said row of recesses varies stepwise. The surfaces of the second set of surfaces are provided with cooperating secondary projections and secondary recesses. The line on which the secondary projections are positioned forms an angle of substantially 90.degree. with the line on which the supporting projections are positioned. The height adjusting device may for instance be used for height adjusting the sliding surface in an axial bearing in a vertical electromotor, where the end surface of the pivot on the shaft of the motor must be able to be arranged at a specific height over an upper contact surface of the electromotor, said height being encumbered with predetermined tolerances. The height adjusting device allows an easy and quick adjustment of the height and is simultaneously easy to mount. Furthermore it has the advantage that it comprises only few parts.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a pumping assembly for heating and faucet water plants, comprising a wet-armature motor and a centrifugal pump driven thereby, the casing of which is pressed to shape from metal plate and has an axially directed collar against which bears the encircling marginal area of a partition separating the pumping space from the motor space, and which is joined by welding to an equally encircling marginal area of the split tube separating the armature space from the stator space. A particularly uncomplicated and safe joint results between the components in question due to the fact that, in accordance with the invention, the partition and the split tube are interwelded at least at points in their mutual contact area and are, jointly with the armature connected to the pump casing, to form a structural unit ready for installation, by connecting the collar of the pump casing in liquid-tight manner to the said marginal area of the split tube by pressure welding.
Abstract:
In the case of a pumping set comprising an electric motor and a rotary pump driven by the same, the r.p.m. may be controlled as a function of selected operating parameters of the set in steps within the area of a characteristic field, the limits of which are determined on the one hand by the two modulating graphs for the maximum and minimum r.p.m. figures and on the other hand by the co-ordinates delivery head and delivery flow. A particular partial span may in each case be determined on the modulating graphs valid for constant r.p.m. figures. An r.p.m. switching action is triggered upon reaching the operating parameters of the set representative for the terminal values of the partial spans, the r.p.m. being lowered if the one terminal value is reached on one partial span with the greater delivery head and the lesser delivery flow, and raised if the other terminal value on the partial span in question is obtained with the lesser delivery head and the greater delivery flow.
Abstract:
In the method proposed a peripheral wall with at least one axial section of high shaping and fitting accuracy is made by forming an initial blank. This accuracy is achieved, in that before the peripheral wall is formed, sheet material which has been put into a plastic state is swaged in places round the periphery, then the swaged locations are sized, and/or in that during or after the formation of the peripheral wall, the wall is shaped by stamping in a plurality of places along its periphery, whereby the said zone providing shaping and fitting accuracy is formed from fitting areas at at least one side of the peripheral wall in the region of the swaged and/or stamped locations. An apparatus for carrying out such a method is generally in the form of a drawing machine, wherein the holder and/or the bottom die contain radial apertures, which open into the inner edge of the holder and/or into the shaping cavity of the die, and which are arranged at intervals round the periphery. The wall surfaces of the upper die and/or of the shaping cavity act as sizing surfaces to form fitting areas in swaged locations on the peripheral wall of the shaped part, the swaged locations being formed by said apertures.
Abstract:
An immersion pump assembly comprises a pump and a wet-rotor motor driving the pump and having a common hollow spindle for the motor and the pump. Liquid in the wet-rotor compartment of the motor can be introduced into the spindle and conveyed within the spindle into the pump casing in heat exchange relationship with the liquid conveyed by the pump, by way of the wall of the spindle. The liquid is returned from the spindle into the rotor compartment by a pumping action. The exit and return openings for the liquid in the rotor compartment are spaced from each other axially of the pump assembly.
Abstract:
A method for winding a stator that may be used for single-phase and three-phase motors. The stator windings are spread across several slots of the stator so that some of the slots receive winding portions of several phase windings. The windings are made by using a mandrel that has step-formed portions with a plurality of winding surfaces. Some of the winding surfaces lie in the same plane so as to permit the windings wound thereon to fit properly into the slots of the stator.
Abstract:
An immersion pump assembly comprises a wet-rotor motor of which the rotational speed and/or the torque can be varied by means of a frequency changer, and a pump unit. The frequency changer, the wet-rotor motor and the pump unit are arranged one above another within a tubular jacket. The motor comprises a split tube formed as a closed pot which is connected to the jacket and which separates the stator compartment from the pump unit in liquid-tight and pressure-tight fashion. The frequency changer is so installed in the stator compartment that its operating electronic system is disposed on the bottom of the split tube pot in the stator compartment.
