摘要： The shift lever of a transmission is comprised of a first shift lever having a cylindrical portion for mounting a grip, and a rod-like second shift lever inserted into the cylindrical portion of the first shift lever. In the space defined between the cylindrical portion of the first shift lever and the second shift lever, there are packed a plurality of soft rubber rings and at least one hard rubber rings. The soft rubber rings serve to diminish the propagation of the vibration through the second shift lever to the first shift lever. The hard rubber ring is bonded onto one of the peripheral surfaces of the first and the second shift lever in radially spaced apart relation to the other of the peripheral surfaces of the first and the second shift lever and serves to prevent an excessive bending of the first shift lever relative to the second shift lever during the operation of the shift lever.

摘要： An air breather plug assembly adapted for use in a transmission or trans-axle casing includes a cylindrical plug body detachably threaded into an upper portion of the casing and having an inner end portion which extends into an interior of the casing in a predetermined length, a cup-shaped baffle-plate fixedly coupled within the inner end portion of the plug body and being formed with a slot for permitting the flow of air passing therethrough, a cup-shaped seal member of elastic material fixedly coupled within an outer end portion of the plug body and spaced from the baffle-plate in a predetermined distance, the seal member being formed with a slit to be opened by an internal pressure applied thereto from the interior of the casing through the baffle-plate, and a cap fixedly coupled over the outer end portion of the plug body in such a manner as to allow the air flowing from the interior of the plug body to the exterior through the slit of the seal member.

摘要： A lubrication mechanism in a change-speed gearing unit in which an oil transfer trough is suspended in a fore-and-aft direction at one side of the inner wall of an extension housing secured at its front end to a transmission casing. The trough is fixed at its front end to the upper portion of the extension housing in such a way as to open toward the upper interior space of the transmission casing and fixed at its rear end to the rear portion of the side wall of the extension housing by means of a hollow bush of elastic material which is pressedly mounted within an axial groove in the rear portion of the side wall of the extension housing. The hollow bush is formed with a closed tubular portion coupled over the rear end of the trough and an outlet portion laterally extending from the tubular portion and opening toward the interior space above an oil well in the extension housing.

摘要： A device for supporting a shift lever in a manual transmission for an automobile which includes the shift lever having a large spherical portion and a small spherical portion, a shift lever retainer supporting the large spherical portion of the shift lever, a resin bush having a cylindrical outer surface spherically engaging with the small spherical portion of the shift lever and a shift lever housing fixed to an operation lever shaft extending toward the transmission. The device comprises a cylindrical vibration preventing bush interposed between the cylindrical outer surface of the resin bush and the inner surface of a hole in the shift lever housing. The vibration preventing bush consists of a metallic outer cylinder inserted under pressure into the inner surface of the hole in the shift lever housing, a cylindrical vibration absorbing member secured to the inner surface of the outer cylinder and a resin layer formed on the inner surface of the cylindrical vibration absorbing member for slidingly contacting the outer surface of the resin bush engaging with the small spherical portion of the shift lever.

摘要： In a change-speed gearing unit, a manual shift lever is mounted at its lower end on a retainer casing which is secured at its outer peripheral portion to the upper seating face of an extension housing for the unit by means of fastening bolts threaded into the housing with intervention of an oil buffer member of elastic material between the outer peripheral portion of the casing and the upper seating face of the housing. A first plurality of fastening bolts adjacent to the lower end of the shift lever are directly engaged with the outer peripheral portion of the retainer casing to prevent floating of the casing, and a second plurality of fastening bolts are engaged respectively through a plurality of elastic members with the outer peripheral portion of the casing such that the casing is floatably secured in place due to resiliency of the oil buffer member.

摘要： A die-cast transmission extension housing has an outer peripheral wall or whell and an integral bearing supporting partition wall provided transversely of the longitudinal axis of the shell between the open forward end and the closed rear end thereof. The partition wall supports at least a bearing for the transmission output shaft extending through the open forward end, the bearing on the partition wall and the closed end. The inner surfaces of the shell forwardly of the rear surface of the partition diverge to the open end of the shell so that the inner space defined by these inner surfaces and the partition can be moulded by a die-casting mould part which is slidable out of the inner space through the open end of the shell after the extension housing is die-cast. The upper wall of the extension housing is formed therein with an upper opening adapted to be closed by a shift lever retainer. The side and bottom walls of the shell cooperate with the partition wall to define a second inner space which is so shaped as to be moulded by another die-casting mould part which is slidable out of the second inner space through the upper opening after the extension housing is die-cast.
