摘要： An encoding apparatus for use in a radio transmitter has a unit for turbo-SPC encoding a plurality of information bits which bits constitute a transmit signal, and deriving at least one set of redundant bits from one set of the information bits; and a redundancy-adjusting unit for decreasing or increasing the redundant bits according to a channel-encoding rate designated by a control signal, and adjusting the ratio of the number of the information bits to the number of the redundant bits. At least some of the redundant bits decreased or increased by the redundancy-adjusting unit are derived from an identical set of the information bits.

The method includes a step of determining whether reception of information from a mobile station is normal; a step of generating a first signal when it is determined to be normal, generating a second signal when it is determined to be abnormal and when the mobile station is instructed to retransmit information using a first radio resource used in previous transmission, and when it is determined to be abnormal and when the mobile station is instructed to retransmit the information using a second radio resource different from the first radio resource, generating the first signal and a third signal including information on the second radio resource; and a step of transmitting any one of the first signal, the second signal, and a combination of the first signal and the third signal, the first signal and the second signal and the combination of the first signal and the third signal being generated by the step of generating.

摘要： A base station apparatus is used in a region in which a first system and a second system co-exist. In the first system, mobile communication is conducted using a variable system bandwidth not more than a basic bandwidth. In the second system, mobile communication is conducted using a variable system bandwidth which is not more than a bandwidth of an advanced system band which is at least as wide as multiple of the basic bandwidths. The base station apparatus generates a control signal for the first system and a control signal for the second system, orthogonally multiplexes them, and includes the same in a downlink signal to transmit the downlink signal. The advanced system band is divided such that it includes multiple of areas (P, Q, R, S) of the basic bandwidth. The control signal for the first system is included in one of the areas (Q). The control signal for the second system is included in at least one of the areas (P, Q, R, S).

The transmitting apparatus includes a unit which provides a unicast channel; a unit which provides a multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) channel; a unit which provides a specific pilot channel which is specific to a specified cell; a unit which provides one or more common pilot channels common to a plurality of cells; and a multiplexing unit which multiplexes the unicast channel, the MBMS channel, the specific pilot channel, and the one or more common pilot channels, and creates the transmit symbol, wherein the multiplexing unit time-division multiplexes, in the same frequency band, a unicast frame which includes the unicast channel, and an MBMS frame which includes the MBMS channel, and wherein an insertion density of the common pilot channel included in the MBMS frame is larger than an insertion density of the specific pilot channel included in the unicast frame.
