    摘要: A thermal type air flow measuring instrument is mounted to a main passage forming an intake air passage of an internal combustion engine and is provided with an auxiliary passage which includes a heating resistor and a temperature sensing resistor therein and an electronic circuit which is electrically connected to the heating resistor and the temperature sensing resistor. The auxiliary passage is a passage including at least one bent portion composed of a first path substantially parallel to the main passage and a second path having a path different in flow direction from the first path. A member forming the auxiliary passage is fixed in a united form to only a case member for interiorly protecting the electronic circuit, and the case member is fixed to the outer wall surface of the intake air passage. The auxiliary passage structure capable of being handled as a single module united to the case member is effective to the mass production of an air flow control system and the reduction in cost thereof since the structure can be mounted to different kinds of internal combustion engines.

    摘要: An axial flow thermo-type air flow meter for internal combustion engines has a spider disposed in a main air passage formed in a body and having formed therein an auxiliary air flow passage including an axial auxiliary air flow passage portion accommodating a heat-generating resistor element for detecting a rate of engine intake air flow. The auxiliary air flow passage also includes more than one radial air flow passage portions which are connected to the axial air flow passage portion and curved and turned at their radially outer ends and then extend radially inwardly to outlet ends open to the main air passage, whereby the total length of the auxiliary air flow passage is increased to decrease the influence of pulsation of engine intake air flow on the air flow meter. Positioning of the outlet openings of the auxiliary air flow passage within a range of a radius from the axis of the main air flow passage, which radius is 1/2 of the radius of the main air flow passage, is effective to reduce fluctuation of the electric output of the air flow meter due to an unbalanced air flow velocity distribution occurring upstream of the air flow meter.

    摘要: An air flow meter comprises a main passage for an axial main air flow; an axial subpassage for air flow, disposed in the main passage and formed so that part of the air in the main passage is taken in at an upstream side thereof and flows in the same direction as the axial main air flow; a radial subpassage for air flow, intersecting the axial subpassage at a downstream side of the axial subpassage so that air from the axial subpassage flows into the radial subpassage and is divided into two radial air flows running in different radial directions; the air having passed through the radial subpassage joining the axial main air flow. An air flow sensing means is disposed in the radial subpassage for sensing a flow rate of air therein, and a projection is disposed in the radial subpassage around the intersection of the axial and radial subpassages, for suppressing turbulence of air flow around the intersection.

    摘要: A scroll type fluid machine having two scroll members each having an end plate and a spiral wrap formed on the end plate, the scroll members being coupled to each other such that the wraps thereof mate with each other. One of two scroll members being adapted to make an orbitary movement with respect to the other scroll member while being prevented from rotating around its own axis, so as to form at least one working chamber of different pressures between two scroll members. At least two pressing force imparting chambers are formed on the opposite side of the orbitary scroll member to the wrap. The pressing force imparting chambers includes a first chamber which is communicated through a communication passage with at least one of the working chambers which is not materially communicating with a low pressure port and is not at all communicating with a high pressure port of the machine, and a second chamber which is communicated with the high pressure port through a communication passage, so that fluid pressures of different levels are applied to the first and second pressing force imparting chambers so as to produce a force which presses the orbitary scroll member to the other scroll member.

The gas of the intermediate pressure is used to provide a force for axially sealing an orbiting scroll member of the scroll compressor as well as to cool the scroll compressor and a motor.

    摘要: A heat exchanging wall including a base member made of a material comprising graphite as its principal component and a resin as a binder, and a thin outer coat member made of similar material as the material for the base member and applied to one surface of the base member. The material for the base member is cast in a mold having a finely ribbed inner wall surface so that the base member may be formed in such one surface thereof with fine linear grooves. Portions of the thin outer coat member corresponding in position to the grooves in such one surface of the base member are formed with a multitude of small apertures. The heat exchanging wall constructed as aforementioned has high corrosion-resistant characteristics and high heat transfer capabilities, so that the wall is resistant to all corrosive fluids.
