摘要: A speaker apparatus includes an acoustic vibration plate, and an actuator mounted to the acoustic vibration plate such that one end and the other end thereof, in a driving axis direction, exist in a plate surface of the acoustic vibration plate. The actuator applies vibration to the acoustic vibration plate to play back sound. The speaker apparatus enables a sound image to uniformly spread over the entire plate surface of the acoustic vibration plate. In addition, the entire speaker apparatus can be made compact.

摘要: A hybrid actuator (100A) includes a magnetostrictive actuator (110) having a magnetostrictive element (111), and a moving-coil actuator (130) including a movable portion (132) having an outer periphery to which voice coils (131a), (131b) are attached. The actuator (110) is fixed to the movable portion (132) of the actuator (130) so that the direction of displacement output of a drive rod (113) becomes the same as the displacement direction of this movable portion. Since the actuator (110) is fixed to the movable portion (132) of the actuator (130), together with a displacement output in response to a high-frequency-range audio signal, which is obtained by the actuator (110), a displacement output in response to a low-frequency-range audio signal, which is obtained by the actuator (130), is also obtained at a tip of the drive rod (113). By abutting the tip of the drive rod (113) against an acoustic diaphragm, a wide band audio output can be obtained.

摘要: A speaker has a pipe member with opposed open ends, and a sounding body that is attached to any one of the opposed open ends of the pipe member on the same axle as that of the pipe member. The sounding body is driven on the basis of an acoustic signal that is applied to the sounding body. Sound wave radiated from the sounding body and passed through an inside of the pipe member vibrates with a pipe wall of the pipe member, thereby to enable sound wave corresponding to the acoustic signal to radiate from a whole of an outside surface of the pipe member to outside.

摘要: An apparatus for processing a digital signal that generates a one-bit output signal using a delta-sigma modulation apparatus, which includes a quantizer for quantizing an integrated output of a sixth integrator to generate a one-bit output signal that is send to respective integrators through an adder under feedback processing to output the one-bit output signal to the outside of a six-order Delta-sigma modulator, and a control unit for generating a control signal that controls the feedback loop signal from the quantizer so as to change the signal level of a signal component of the audio frequency band of the one-bit output signal. The control unit receives an integrated output from a second integrator being an input side integrator of the six-order delta-sigma modulator.

摘要: A delta-sigma modulator and delta-sigma modulation method according to the present invention are capable of ensuring a stable 1-bit signal having less distortion at the transition time from an audio signal reproduction state to soundless state while maintaining high sound quality during reproduction of an audio signal representing music or the like, and, at the same time, capable of maintaining high sound quality at the transition time from a soundless state to audio signal reproduction state. The delta-sigma modulator applies delta-sigma modulation to an input signal to output a 1-bit digital signal, and comprises an integration section that applies integration to the input signal, a quantization section that quantizes the integrated output from the integration section, a random noise generation section that generates a random noise signal whose gain has been adjusted based on the integrated output of the integration section, a detection section that detects a predetermined pattern from the input signal, and a changeover section that switches supply and suspension of supply of the random noise signal from the random noise generation section to the quantization section based on a detection result of the detection section.

摘要: In a fuel cell comprising a stack having superposed a plurality of electromotive parts composed of a fuel electrode, an oxidizing electrode, and an electrolyte layer nipped by the two electrodes and using a liquid fuel as the fuel for the fuel cell, this invention contemplates forming a liquid fuel introducing path destined to be directly exposed to the liquid fuel on terminal surfaces of the component parts of the electromotive parts in a direction perpendicular to the flow of an oxidizing gas along at least one of the outer peripheral surfaces of the stack including the terminal surface of the fuel electrode and lying parallelly to the flow of the oxidizing gas and enabling the liquid fuel in the liquid fuel introducing path to be supplied to the fuel electrodes by a capillary attraction. A fuel cell provided with means for recovery of the water produced by the cell reaction in the oxidizing electrodes is also disclosed, which fuel cell effects the removal of the water produced in the oxidizing electrodes during the operation of the fuel cell by a capillary attraction generated by two porous members, i.e. a first porous member disposed in the oxidizing electrodes and a second porous member adjoined to the first porous member and possessed of a smaller average pore diameter than the first porous member.
