Abstract: An apparatus suitable for at least to: receive, from a serving access node, a random access update precondition and a configuration with regard to a conditional handover, wherein the configuration indicates at least one handover candidate cell; carry out measurements according to the configuration, and if the random access update precondition is fulfilled, transmit a message to the serving access node, the message comprising information obtained by the measurements and indicating at least one beam of at least one handover candidate cell and/or at least one handover candidate cell that caused the random access update precondition being fulfilled for obtaining a random access resource configuration for carrying out the conditional handover.

Abstract: An embodiment may comprise: transmitting, by a user device in a low activity state a type of the low activity state being according to an anchor access node, a random access message to a network node providing a target cell of a cell reselection. The method may also comprise, in response to receiving a random access response for the random access message from the network node providing the target cell, transmitting, to the network node providing the target cell, a radio connection reactivation request, the reactivation request comprising an indication of an anchor access node of the user device. The method may also comprise, in response to the radio connection reactivation request, receiving a radio connection reactivation message indicating a radio connection reactivation to the anchor access node as a logical link associated with a radio link provided by the target cell of the cell reselection or receiving an inactivation message.

Abstract: A PCell for a UE participates in a first phase to add a PSCell to a set of cells including the PCell to be used by the UE for a MCHO, comprising determining that the UE is to participate in the MCHO, and sending indications of at least resources for selected ones of multiple candidate cells toward the UE for use for the MCHO. The PCell participates in a second phase to add the PSCell to the set, comprising determining by the PCell which of the selected multiple cells has been accessed by the UE as the PSCell. The PCell participates in a swap from being the PSCell for the UE to becoming a current PSCell for the UE, wherein the PSCell is swapped from the PSCell to being a current PCell for the UE. The current PSCell participates in a release of a connection to the UE.

According to an example embodiment, a method includes: transmitting, by a user equipment, at least one uplink signal to a plurality of network nodes of a wireless network based at least on the user equipment being in a first radio resource control state such that the user equipment maintains connectivity with one of the network nodes; receiving at least one connection message including a command to connect to at least two of the network nodes for communication, wherein the command is based at least on measurements extracted from the at least one uplink signal; in response to the at least one connection message, changing from the first radio resource control state to a second radio resource control state; and transmitting data utilizing multiple communication links via the at least two network nodes.
