Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product receive an application flow comprising a source flow and a supplementary flow from a core network. The method, apparatus and computer program product receive a flow payload indication from the core network. The method, apparatus and computer program product determine whether the application flow is to be transmitted via a unicast transmission or a multicast transmission. The method, apparatus and computer program product determine whether the supplementary flow is droppable based on the flow payload indication and whether the application flow is to be transmitted via a unicast transmission or a multicast transmission. The method, apparatus and computer program product cause only the source flow to be transmitted in a circumstance where the supplementary flow is droppable.

For example, certain communication systems may benefit from quality of service driven receiver selective hybrid automatic repeat request for point-to-multipoint communication. A method can include identifying, at a receiver, at least one quality of service threshold. The method can also include identifying, at the receiver, at least one quality of service. The method can further include determining, at the receiver, whether or what kind of feedback is to be used for an erroneously received transport block based on the identified at least one quality of service threshold and the identified at least one quality of service. The method can additionally include communicating, by the receiver, with a transmitter of the erroneously received transport block based on the determination.

One method may include receiving an indication from at least one device of its capability to switch to a temporary cell of an unmanned vehicle base station (BS), and determining, based on knowledge of locations on a planned path of the unmanned vehicle base station (BS), which of the at least one device is located within coverage of one of the locations on the planned path. The method may then include configuring discontinuous reception cycles or Power-Saving Mode (PSM) of the at least one device so that the at least one device is awake when the unmanned vehicle base station (BS) establishes the temporary cell.

Abstract: In accordance with example embodiments of the invention there is at least a method and apparatus to perform at least detecting, by an unmanned vehicle of a communication network, a radio connection quality degradation at the unmanned vehicle; and in response to the detecting, autonomously directing the unmanned vehicle on a rescue movement path to new geographical coordinates provided by the communication network to maintain or reestablish the radio connection. Further, to perform determining that a radio connection quality degradation is to occur or has occurred at an unmanned vehicle of a communication network; and based on the determining, providing a rescue movement path to new geographical coordinates to the unmanned vehicle for a radio connection quality degradation to maintain or reestablish the radio connection.
