A lighting-up device includes: a power supply circuit which supplies power to a light source; a wireless communication circuit including an antenna; and a metallic casing which includes metal, and houses the power supply circuit and the wireless communication circuit. The metallic casing has a first side face and a second side face which share a side, the first side face is provided with a first slit which extends in a first direction intersecting with the side, from a first portion of the side other than both ends of the side, the second side face is provided with a second slit which extends in a second direction intersecting with the side, from a second portion of the side other than the both ends of the side, and each of the first slit and the second slit is electromagnetically coupled to the antenna and functions as a slot antenna.

The first wireless communication device receives a first control signal wirelessly transmitted from an outside of the luminaire body, and wirelessly transmits a second control signal in response to the first control signal. The luminaire body includes: a light source; a second wireless communication device that receives the second control signal; a light emission control circuit that is electrically connected to the second wireless communication device and controls a light emission state of the light source according to the second control signal; and a case that, with or without a cover, houses the second wireless communication device and the light emission control circuit. The first wireless communication device is attached to the luminaire body.

An illumination system includes a light projection device, an illuminance measurement unit, a lighting device, and a control device. The light projection device projects an image to a space. The illuminance measurement unit measures an illuminance value of a location where the illuminance measurement unit is placed in the space. The lighting device has a dimming function for illuminating the location in the space with a brightness. The control device includes an illuminance setting unit, a difference calculation unit, and an illumination light adjusting unit. The illuminance setting unit sets an illuminance value of the location. The difference calculation unit calculates a difference between the illuminance value set by the illuminance setting unit and the illuminance value measured by the illuminance measurement unit. The illumination light adjusting unit adjusts a brightness of the lighting device such that the difference calculated by the difference calculation unit is reduced.

Luminaires in a lighting system have mutually different addresses. A setting device includes a communication unit that transmits an address request signal at a first transmission power level and a control unit that determines whether a total number of the addresses transmitted from one or more of the luminaires in response to receiving the address request signal is within a target range. The control unit instructs the communication unit to transmit the address request signal at a transmission power level different from the first transmission power level when the total number of the addresses is outside the target range, and executes pairing of the one or more of the luminaires that responded to the address request signal with a wireless controller when the total number of the addresses is within the target range.
