摘要: The present invention refers to an active sound reduction system and method for attenuation of sound emitted by a primary sound source, especially for attenuation of snoring sounds emitted by a human being. This system comprises a primary sound source, at least one speaker as a secondary sound source for producing an attenuating sound to be superposed with the sound emitted by said primary sound source, a reference microphone for receiving sound from said primary sound source, and at least one error microphone being allocated to each speaker to form a speaker/microphone pair. The at least one error microphone is provided as a directional microphone pointing at its allocated speaker to receive residual sound resulting from the superposition of the sounds from the primary sound source and the corresponding speaker. The error microphone and speaker of at least one speaker/microphone pair and the primary sound source are arranged substantially collinear. A control unit is provided to receive an output reference signal of the reference microphone representing the sound received by the reference microphone and an output error signal of the at least one error microphone representing the sound received by the at least one error microphone and to calculate a control signal for the speaker from the output reference signal and the output error signal.

摘要: A method of maintaining a state in a subject (12) comprises generating a pacing signal (20) at a first frequency, presenting to the subject an output based upon the generated pacing signal, measuring one or more physiological parameters of the subject, detecting that the measured parameter(s) conform to a desired state in the subject, and either removing the presentation to the subject of the output based upon the generated pacing signal, or generating a new pacing signal at a second frequency, and presenting to the subject an output based upon the generated new pacing signal. The method can further comprise, prior to the detecting that the measured parameter(s) conform to a desired state in the subject, adjusting the pacing signal according to feedback from the measured parameter(s). In a preferred embodiment, the method also further comprises detecting that the measured parameter(s) no longer conform to a desired state in the subject, and presenting to the subject an output based upon the original generated pacing signal.

摘要: An audio driver including a diaphragm with a first side and a second side. The diaphragm is coupled to a transducer element on the second side and is arranged to radiate sound. The transducer element converts an electrical input signal into movement of the diaphragm. The diaphragm is arranged such that a part of the diaphragm at least partly forms a cavity at the second side of an air conduit is coupled to the cavity. The air conduit has a first opening into the cavity and a second opening outside of the cavity. The air conduit and cavity form a resonator which has a resonance frequency that is less than half a free air acoustic resonance frequency of the audio driver.

摘要: In a method and a media system of/for generation of at least one output signal (HPL,HPR) from at least one input signal belonging to a second set of sound signals (M) having a related second set of Head Related Transfer Functions, in which the media system can be a TV, a CD player, a DVD player, a Radio, a display, an amplifier, a headphone or a VCR, the method includes the steps of determining, for each signal in the second set of sound signals, a weighted relation (14) including at least one signal belonging to a third set of intermediate sound signals (CHI1, CHI2) and at least one weight value (Weights); determining a first set of Head Related Transfer Functions (HRTFs) based on the second set of sound signals, the second set of Head Related Transfer Functions and the weighted relation; and transferring at least one signal belonging to the third set of intermediate sound signals by means of at least one HRTF belonging to said first set of Head Related Transfer Functions in order to generate at least one output signal belonging to said first set of sound signals. Hereby, in the end, fewer HRTFs are determined for a subsequent transfer of input signal(s) to output signal(s). Accordingly, few convolutions are required.

摘要: The invention relates to a motion determination apparatus for determining motion of a moving object, wherein the motion determination apparatus (1) comprises a multi-axial accelerometer (2) for being positioned at the moving object (4), wherein the multi-axial accelerometer (2) is adapted to generate accelerometer signals indicative of the acceleration along different spatial axes. The motion determination apparatus further comprises a motion signal generation unit (3) for generating a motion signal indicative of the motion of the object (4) by combining the accelerometer signals of different spatial axes. The combination of the accelerometer signals of different spatial axes yields a motion signal having a large signal-to-noise ratio, even if an axis is located close to a rotational axis of the movement.
