    摘要: Imaging materials employing photosensitive microcapsules having improved film speed are disclosed wherein the microcapsules contain a photoinitiator system including an absorber, a coinitiator and an autoxidizer; the absorber is a compound such as an aromatic ketone, the coinitiator and the autoxidizer are different but may be compounds such as N,N-dialkylanilines; the coinitiator and autoxidizer are selected such that free radical generation and oxygen consumption occur with optimum efficiency thereby providing an imaging material having high film speed.

    摘要: An improved means for exposing and developing photosensitive sheets employing a microencapsulated radiation sensitive composition wherein a cover sheet is adhered to a layer of the microcapsules and following exposure the cover sheet is peeled away to rupture the microcapsules and develop the image. The cover sheet also reduces the oxygen concentration at the surface of the microcapsules and thereby enhances the sensitivity of the imaging sheet.

    摘要: Rigid signs are prepared by a facile method of fixing an image to a rigid substrate coated with a thermally tackifiable coating. The image is readily produced through the use of a computer graphics program, and the image is printed onto a transfer film using a conventional computer printer. The image-bearing surface of the transfer film is then joined in pressing contact with the thermoplastic coating which has been warmed to a softened or tacky state. Upon cooling the thermoplastic coating to a hard, durable state, the transfer film is removed leaving the image securedly affixed to the rigid substrate.
