    摘要: Bispicolylamines are prepared by reacting (a) cyanopyridine with (b) hydrogen in the presence of a catalytic amount of (c) a palladium or carbon catalyst which has been preconditioned by contact with a reacting mixture of (a) and (b) for a time sufficient to cause said catalyst to preferentially produce bispicolylamine. The reaction is normally conducted under autogenous or superatmospheric pressure at a temperature of from about 20.degree. to about 75.degree. C in a lower alkanol (e.g., methanol) as the reaction medium.

C. and a pressure of at least about 1,000 psig in the presence of a catalytic amount of a catalyst consisting essentially of a rhodium-cobalt bimetallic cluster, such as Rh.sub.2 Co.sub.2 CO.sub.12, supported on an amine resin, such as DOWEX.RTM. MWA-1.

    摘要: A process of preparing a mixture of polyalkylenepolyamines and alkanolpolyamines comprising contacting a difunctional aliphatic alcohol with a primary or secondary aliphatic amine in the presence of a metal silicate catalyst wherein the metal is selected from the group consisting of Groups IIA, IIIB, and the lanthanide and actinide metals. For example, monoethanolamine reacts with diethylenetriamine in the presence of magnesium silicate to yield a mixture of higher molecular weight linear and branched polyethylenepolyamines and their corresponding alkanolpolyamines. These product mixtures are useful in the formation of specialty polyurethanes.
