摘要: A wireless communication device comprises a transceiver configured to communicate information with one or more neighbor devices in accordance with a sync mode of a WiFi communication protocol, and a controller. The controller is configured to monitor for reception of at least one of a response frame or a beacon frame sent by any neighbor device, determine whether to schedule transmission of a service frame, and change operation to a background scan mode when the at least one of the response frame or the beacon frame sent by any neighbor device is undetected for a specified time duration and the transmission of a service frame is unscheduled.

摘要: An apparatus for a station (STA) is generally described herein. The STA includes a low-power WUR (LP-WUR), a local timing synchronization function (TSF) timer, and processing circuitry. The processing circuitry can decode a signal received from an access point (AP) at the LP-WUR, the signal including a TSF value, the TSF value including a subset of octets of a TSF timer associated with the AP. The STA can synchronize the local TSF timer of the STA with the TSF timer associated with the AP by adjusting a local TSF timer based on a count of a number of octets included in the subset of octets. The LP-WUR can wake up a wireless local area network (WLAN) radio of the STA at a wake-up time based on the local TSF timer. Other methods, apparatuses and systems are also described.

摘要: Methods, devices, and systems for retransmission of wake-up signals from a first station to a second station over a wireless network are disclosed. In some aspects, a wake-up signal is encoded for transmission to the second station. While the first station is waiting for an acknowledgment of the wake-up signal from the second station, the second station may retransmit the wake up signal and/or encode a packet for transmission to a third station. In some aspects, whether the wake-up signal is retransmitted is based in part, on at least one of whether a number of timeout events for wake-up signals transmitted to the second station exceeds a maximum timeouts threshold, whether a number of wake-up signals transmitted to the second station exceeds a maximum wake-up signals threshold; or whether a maximum predetermined elapsed time since a first wake-up signal was transmitted to the second station is exceeded.

摘要: Embodiments of a LP-WUR (low-power wake-up radio) wake-up packet acknowledgement procedure are generally described herein. A first wireless device encodes for transmission of a wake-up packet of a LP-WUR to a second wireless device, the wake-up packet to wake up a WLAN (wireless local area network) radio of the second wireless device. Upon decoding a response frame from the second wireless device received during a predefined time period: the first wireless device encodes for transmission of a data packet to the WLAN radio of the second wireless device. Upon failing to receive the response frame from the second wireless device during the predefined time period: the first wireless device encodes for retransmission of the wake-up packet to the second wireless device.

摘要: Embodiments of a multi-link access point (AP) device, station (STA) and method of communication are generally described herein. The multi-link AP device may comprise multiple APs. The multi-link AP device may encode a frame for transmission by one of the APs of the multi-link AP device. The multi-link AP device may encode the frame to include signaling to enable multi-link discovery of the APs of the multi-link AP device. The multi-link AP device may encode the signaling to include: a reduced neighbor report (RNR) element that identifies the APs of the multi-link AP device, and a multiple AP element. The multiple AP element may be configurable to include: common information for the APs of the multi-link AP device, and per-AP sub-elements that include per-AP information related to the APs of the multi-link AP device.

摘要: Embodiments of a station (STA) and method of communication are generally described herein. The STA may be included in a first plurality of STAs affiliated with a first multi-link logical entity (MLLE). A plurality of links may be established between the first MLLE and a second MLLE, wherein the second MLLE may be affiliated with a second plurality of STAs. The STA may receive a first subset of a sequence of MAC protocol data units (MPDUs). A second subset of the sequence of MPDUs may be transmitted by another STA of the first plurality of STAs. The STA may transmit a block acknowledgement (BA) frame that includes: a number of BA bitmaps, configurable to values greater than or equal to one; and BA control information for each of the BA bitmaps.

摘要: Embodiments of an access point (AP), station (STA) and method of communication are generally described herein. An AP may be configurable to operate as a master AP of a multi-AP group comprising the master AP and one or more satellite APs. The master AP may select, from the multi-AP group, a set of APs that is to communicate with a STA in accordance with joint processing. The master AP may allocate one or more spatial streams to each of the APs of the set of APs for a joint transmission of a null data packet (NDP) to the STA for channel sounding. The master AP may transmit an NDP announcement (NDPA) that indicates that the APs of the set of APs are to perform the joint transmission of the NDP.

As part of a multi-link AP logical entity, the plurality of APs may share a common medium access control (MAC) data service interface to an upper layer. The AP may exchange signaling with an STA as part of a multi-link setup process between the multi-link TP logical entity and a multi-link non-AP logical entity. The STA may be included in a plurality of STAs affiliated with the multi-link non-AP logical entity. The multi-link setup process may establish a link between each AP of the plurality of APs and a corresponding STA of the plurality of STAs.

摘要: Methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media for high efficiency (HE) beacon and HE formats in a wireless network are disclosed. An apparatus of a high efficiency (HE) access point (AP), where the apparatus comprises processing circuitry configured select a tuple from the basic HE-MCS set of tuples, if a basic HE modulation and control scheme (MCS)(HE-MCS) and a number of spatial streams (NSS) set of tuples is not empty, and otherwise select the tuple from a mandatory HE-MCS and NSS set of tuples. The processing circuitry may be further configured to encode a beacon frame in a HE single user (SU) physical layer (PHY) protocol data unit (PPDU), in accordance with the selected tuple, and configure the HE AP to transmit the HE SU PPDU. Null data packets formats, methods, computer readable media, and apparatuses are disclosed for multiple 20 MHz operations.
