    摘要: One embodiment of the present invention, file transfers are performed in a wireless communication network between a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) and a location external to the WTRU for purposes of utilizing the data under predetermined conditions. In another embodiment, file transfer is performed by determining conditions for file transfer using the WTRU. The file transfer takes place subject to the determined conditions, and using the WTRU to automatically request the file transfer in response to the existence of the determined conditions.

    摘要: A CDMA communication system includes a signal processor which encodes voice and nonvoice signals into data at various rates, e.g. data rates of 8 kbps, 16 kbps, 32 kbps, or 64 kbps as I and Q signals. The signal processor selects a specific data rate depending upon the type of signal, or in response to a set data rate. When the signal is received and demodulated, the baseband signal is at the chip level. Both the I and Q components of the signal are despread using the conjugate of the pn sequence used during spreading, returning the signal to the symbol level. Carrier offset correction is performed at the symbol level. A lower overall processing speed is therefore required.

    摘要: A plurality of data streams are convolutionally encoded. Each convolutionally encoded data stream has a particular data rate. The particular data rate of each data stream is adjusted so that an adjusted data rate of that data stream matches a data rate of a CDMA transmission. When the particular data rate of one of the data streams is below the data rate of the CDMA transmission, data of the one data stream is repeated to match the data rate of the CDMA transmission. The adjusted data rate data streams is transmitted as the CDMA transmission. The adjusted data streams are transmitted together in the CDMA transmission and the CDMA transmission is quadrature modulated.
