Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, on a first subscriber identity module (SIM) operating in a connected mode, a signal using a first antenna associated with a first antenna module. The UE may configure, for a second SIM operating in an idle mode, a second antenna associated with the first antenna module for receive operations. The UE may switch a transmit antenna associated with the first SIM from the first antenna to a third antenna associated with a second antenna module based at least in part on configuring the second antenna for receive operations and based at least in part on the first antenna module being unable to support concurrent transmission and reception of signals. The UE may transmit, on the first SIM, a signal using the third antenna. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may communicate on a primary carrier using a first antenna port. The UE may communicate on a secondary carrier using a second antenna port. The UE may determine whether to switch the secondary carrier from the second antenna port to the first antenna port based on a channel condition associated with the second antenna port. The UE may switch the secondary carrier from the second antenna port to the first antenna port based on a determination to switch the secondary carrier from the second antenna port to the first antenna port. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE). The apparatus determines that a first subscriber identity module (SIM) and a second SIM of the UE share a cross switch and determines whether to modify concurrent operation of the first SIM or the second SIM based, at least in part, on a determination that the first SIM and the second SIM of the UE share the cross-switch. The concurrent operation of the first SIM and the second SIM may include the first SIM performing SRS antenna switching and the second SIM performing an idle mode activity.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A multi-antenna user equipment (UE) may communicate with a base station using a first antenna, determine to switch from the first antenna to a second antenna for communicating with the base station, determine a silence window in which communication with the base station is suspended, schedule the switch from the first antenna to the second antenna to occur during the silence window, and switch from the first antenna to the second antenna during the silence window.

Abstract: A system, a method and an apparatus are described. The apparatus includes a modem that responds to a thermal mitigation request by invoking different levels of thermal mitigation for different concurrently active connections. In some instances, the modem may invoke thermal mitigation with respect to a first active connection and refrain from invoking thermal mitigation with respect to a second active connection maintained by the modem. The apparatus determines the first and second active connections based on subscriptions corresponding to subscriber identification modules, an identification of a power amplifier or group of power amplifiers responsible for a thermal issue in the modem. The selection of mitigation levels for each active connection and decisions to invoke mitigation on one connection while refraining from invoking mitigation on another connection may be based on priorities of the active connections, including quality of service related priorities.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications, and more particularly, to techniques for a UE to determine whether to maintain or remove a radio frequency (RF) path from a set of candidate paths considered for transmit antenna switch diversity (ASDIV). The determination allows the UE to avoid signal loss or degradation in coexisting networks at similar frequency ranges. For example, ASDIV allows two or more antennas to form different input and output ports to establish different RF paths. Coexistent networks, such as wireless wide-area-network (WWAN) and wireless local-area-network (WLAN) may utilize different RF paths to optimize reliability and efficiency. The overlapping of the bands may cause signal attenuation or degradation from at least one of the networks. The present disclosure provides techniques for detecting signal attenuation at least partially caused by overlapping bands and removing an associated RF path to avoid such signal loss or attenuation.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may establish, using a first frequency band, a first communication connection on a first subscriber identity module (SIM). The UE may establish, using a second frequency band, a second communication connection on a second SIM in a multi-SIM dual receive mode that includes the first SIM and the second SIM having concurrent activity. The UE may switch from a first antenna to a second antenna for the first SIM in accordance with an antenna switching capability that is based at least in part on whether the first communication connection and the second communication connection are time division duplex (TDD) synchronized. The UE may transmit one or more communications associated with the first SIM using the second antenna. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, systems and computer-readable media for addressing the aging of oscillation (XO) crystals are presented. Some embodiments may determine a change of age of the XO crystal since last prior use of the XO crystal. Embodiments may then determine that at least one calibration parameter is not suitable for use in at least one calibration technique of the XO crystal, based on the change of age of the XO crystal. Embodiments may then determine at least one fresh calibration parameter configured to update the at least one calibration parameter for suitable use in the at least one calibration technique of the XO crystal.
