    摘要: A process for producing a glass-coated article having a silicon substrate and the article produced thereby are provided. According to the process of the present invention, a layer of glass wetting agent material is formed on the substrate to improve wetting of a glass material to the article. A desired thickness of the glass material is applied to the layer of wetting agent material. The article is then fired and subjected to ambient conditions sufficient to melt the glass material and to form a substantially uniform layer of glass material that is substantially devoid of void pockets and deformities. Particular utility for the present invention is found in the areas of fabrication of electronic circuit boards and semiconductor devices, although other utilities are contemplated.

    摘要: A coaxial cable connector is provided for interconnecting coaxial cables having center and outer conductors. The coaxial cable connector utilizes a contact and shell arrangement defining a strip line geometry for the electric fields generated by signals passing through the coaxial cable connector. The contacts and shells may be formed with planar conductors aligned parallel to one another with a center conductive strip sandwiched between planar ground strips, all of which are separated by dielectric materials. The widths and thicknesses of the contact and ground planes, the spacing there between and the dielectric materials are manufacturable in an easy, reliable, and cost effective method.

    摘要: Disclosed is a high speed flex circuit electronic interface in combination with a sealed optical connectorization approach for optical coupling. In a preferred embodiment, at a front end of the connector a wedge seal ring or “press ring” is pressed into the end of a slide tube, both of which are, in a preferred embodiment, made of metal such as stainless steel. The wedge end shape of the press ring in this preferred embodiment allows it to be easily pushed into the inside diameter of the slide tube, expanding the slide tube to create a radial surface seal maintained by the hoop stress developed in the slide tube initiated by the press ring, thereby creating a hermetic seal on a cylindrical portion of the flange assembly connector. A flex-circuit sealed back-end of the connector uses, in a preferred embodiment, polymer to polymer or polymer to metal bonding to create a hermetic seal on the back end.

The coaxial cable connector includes inner and outer contracts configured to be securable to inner and outer conductors of coaxial cables. A coaxial cable displacement contact section connected to the outer contacts has at least one displacement beam and braid-receiving slot dimensioned to pierce the coaxial cable automatically when the outer conductors are mounted to the coaxial cable connector. The coaxial cable displacement contact section affords an automated and reliable technique for interconnecting contacts and outer coaxial cable conductors.
