    摘要: An electronic odor sensor is used in conjunction with a surgical tool, for example when wounds are cleansed to remove dead tissue and exudates, known clinically as debridement. The surgical tool will atomize substrate tissues and thereby mechanically generate vapors that can be sensed. Abrasion will likewise atomize substrate tissues liberating odors. Air near the surgical tool is collected and fed into the electronic odor sensor. The odor is analyzed by the sensor and a signal fed back based on the analysis.

    摘要: The present invention provides for a field emission device including an anode assembly and a cathode assembly, wherein the cathode assembly further includes a substrate, a plurality of electrically conducting strips deposited on the substrate, and a continuous layer of diamond material deposited over the plurality of electrically conducting strips and portions of the substrate exposed between the plurality of electrically conducting strips. The field emission device may further include a grid assembly including a perforated silicon substrate, a first dielectric layer deposited on the silicon substrate, and a first conducting layer deposited on the first dielectric layer, wherein the first dielectric layer and the first conducting layer have perforations coinciding with perforations of the silicon substrate. The grid assembly may further include a second dielectric layer deposited on an underside of the silicon substrate, wherein the second dielectric layer has perforations coinciding with perforations of the silicon substrate.

    摘要: A triode structure code cathode assembly is produced by depositing a carbon emitter material onto a substrate to form a cathode structure. Then, an insulating layer is deposited onto one side of a mesh foil to form a mesh assembly. This mesh assembly is then mechanically attached to the cathode structure so that the insulating layer on the one side of the mesh assembly is contacting the cathode structure. This entire triode cathode assembly can then be used to produce a field emission display device by including an anode structure.

    摘要: An image projection system comprises an image projector, such as a film or television projector and a projection screen. The projection screen is fabricated of a substantially transparent material, such as glass or plastic. The screen of transparent material has one or more areas or portions formed therein which areas or portions may be made to be translucent upon the application of a stimulus. Once in a translucent condition, the projected image can be received and viewed on the translucent portion. A mirror can be positioned behind the projection screen so that a person can view the reflection of themselves in the mirror when the screen is transparent, and an image can be projected when the projection screen is made to be substantially translucent.
