摘要: A process for making solid colored particles by preparing a reaction solution in water comprising formaldehyde, urea, a cyclic polyamine functional triazine compound, and acid. A dye can be incorporated into the reaction solution if a color other than white is desired. Particles are formed having an average particle size between 1 and 70 microns without the need to resort to crushing to break up agglomerates. Particles made by this process provide excellent color and are easily washable from a substrate when incorporated into a washable formulation.Additionally, it has been found that the incorporation of colored microcapsules of average size of 1-70 microns where the color is located primarily on or in the shell of the microcapsule also provides excellent washable compositions when incorporated into a washable formulation.

The skin antiseptic composition dispenser may include a container with one or more walls that are substantially impermeable to ethylene oxide gas during normal ethylene oxide sterilization processes. In some embodiments, the container may include flexible walls free of metallic foil barrier layers. The containers may also include one or more vents in addition to one or more openings used to dispense the skin antiseptic composition within the container. The dispenser may include an applicator with a hydrophilic foam.

A process for synthesizing the compound of this invention is also set forth. This process involves reacting a compound having the structural formula ##STR2## where R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and Z have the meanings given for the compound of this invention with a compound having the structural formulaHX--R--YHwhere R, X and Y have the meanings given for the compound of the present invention. The compounds of this invention find utility as fungicides and plant growth regulants. Thus, the instant invention is also directed to processes for controlling fungi and regulating plant growth by utilizing effective amounts of the compound of the present invention to effectuate these goals. Finally, fungicidal and plant growth regulant compositions comprising effective amounts of the compound of this invention and carriers therefor is within the contemplation of the present invention.

摘要: A system for minimizing the energy consumption in a central air conditioning unit incorporating a refrigeration unit which is normally in operation to supplement or substitute for the cooling effect of outside air. The system employs sensor to sense the enthalpy of the return air entering the unit from the work space, the outside air entering the unit from the outside, and the washer air discharged into the work space from the unit, and controls the operation of the unit in accordance with the relative levels of enthalpy at these points. The energy content of the discharged washer air may be modified by modulating dampers controlling the proportion of outside and recirculated air, and also by modulating the washer which provides evaporative cooling and, in addition, cooling by refrigeration. The controls keep the outdoor air dampers normally closed when the enthalpy of the outdoor air is higher than the enthalpy of the return air and keep the outdoor air dampers normally opened when the enthalpy of the outside air is less than the enthalpy of the return air. Regulating means provide auxiliary signals to modulate the dampers to avoid adversely affecting the conditioning effect of the washer air in the work area, and also to enable the continued operation of the refrigeration unit without damage when the system would otherwise call for operating the unit at less than the minimum safe operating load.

摘要: A restraint device for use with a vehicular straightening system includes an elongated tether that is connected to a restraining net along a first end, and an anchor connector along a second end. The anchor connector includes functionality for engaging the platform of the straightening system, and the restraining net includes a shape and size that is suitable for encompassing the fastening mechanism of the straightening system. A plurality of net connectors secure the restraining net about the fastening mechanism, and each of the tether, the restraining net and the connectors are constructed from materials having a high tensile strength for resisting a recoil force associated with a breakage of the fastening mechanism when a pulling force is applied thereon.

摘要: Methods are described for removing contaminates from aqueous industrial wastewater process streams, specifically industrial laundries to yield a less contaminated aqueous effluent for discharge to a sewer and reduce the sludge generated therefrom. A premixed medium/high molecular weight and medium/high charged cationic coagulant solution polymer and an inorganic aluminum species is injected into the wastewater, and after at least a two second delay, a high molecular weight highly charged anionic flocculent polymer solution is injected into the wastewater which reduces sludge generation, while maintaining or exceeding effluent quality. Also, no coagulant, flocculent or sludge aids are needed to attain the results and the sludge can be dewatered in a plate and frame press.
