At least one injection valve is mounted on the associated cup by way of at least one holding element. An abutment surface is provided on the outer side of the cup. A support surface is configured on the underside of the cup. The holding element is moreover configured as a holding clamp. An abutment surface is provided on an outer side of the fuel injection valve. The holding clamp engages on the one hand behind the abutment surface of the cup and on the other hand behind the abutment surface of the fuel injection valve. The holding clamp furthermore pushes the fuel injection valve toward the support surface.

The invention is characterised in that: a radial force (FR) acting in the direction of the longitudinal axis (3; 46) is applied to the cylinder portion (14) at multiple clamping points (33; 33a, 34; 34a, 35; 35a) in the region of its outer periphery (32; 32a), said radial forces (FR) elastically deforming the cylinder portion (14); an inner bore (38; 38a) having a round cross-section is subsequently produced on the inner surface (16; 16a) of the elastically deformed cylinder portion (14); and subsequently the radial clamping of the cylinder portion (14) is stopped.

Furthermore, a first annular element is provided in the receiving space, which in the installed state on the one hand interacts with the fuel fitting inserted into the receiving space and on the other hand interacts with the base body. Furthermore, a second annular element is provided in the receiving space of the base body, the first annular element and the second annular element abutting against an outside of the fuel fitting in the installed state.
