Abstract: Various embodiments include a method for controlling a pressure dissipation valve comprising a closure element, a spring applying a spring force urging the closure element toward the closed position, and an electromagnetic actuator responding to an applied voltage to urge the closure element to an open position. The method may include: applying a constant voltage until the closure element begins motion counter to the spring force; immediately ending the voltage upon the beginning of motion; thereafter, applying a pulsed voltage to the actuator to induce a substantially constant holding-open current intensity; maintaining the pulsed voltage for a predetermined duration to hold the closure element open; and interrupting the application of voltage after the predetermined duration, wherein the closure element moves into the closed position as a result of the spring force.

Abstract: A control device includes a control amount change part that changes an energization control amount of a control valve, an operation detection part that detects an operating condition of the control valve when the energization control amount is changed, a learning part that learns the energization control amount based on the operating condition of the control valve to reduce an operating noise of a high-pressure pump, and a determination part that determines whether or not an operating time of the control valve for the energization control amount is shorter than a time that allows for the detection of the operating condition of the control valve. The learning part prohibits the learning when the operating time of the control valve for the energization control amount is determined to be shorter than the time that allows for the detection of the operating condition of the control valve.

Abstract: A suspension for fuel injection systems is used for connecting a fuel injector to a fuel-carrying component. A connecting body having a receiving space is provided for this purpose. The connecting body has an opening, via which a fuel fitting of the fuel injector is insertible at least partially into the receiving space of the connecting body. Furthermore, an annular element and an elastically deformable element are provided. Fuel fitting is supported via the annular element and the elastically deformable element along an axis of the receiving space of the connecting body. A fuel injection system having such a suspension is also indicated. The suspension allows for a soft coupling of the fuel injector to the fuel-carrying component at a desired target stiffness.

Abstract: A decoupling element for a fuel-injection device has a low-noise and pivotable construction. The fuel-injection device includes at least a fuel injector and a receiving bore in a cylinder head for the fuel injector as well as the decoupling element between a valve housing of the fuel injector and a wall of the receiving bore. The decoupling element is in the form of a ring, in particular a closed ring, which has a lower end face that sits on a shoulder of the receiving bore, and which has an upper end face that rises conically from radially outside toward radially inside and is in intimate contact with a spherically curved shoulder area of the valve housing of the fuel injector. The fuel-injection device is particularly suitable for the direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of a mixture-compressing combustion engine having externally supplied ignition.

Abstract: A connecting device for fuel injection systems is used for joining a fuel injector to a cup and to a fuel-conveying component. In this context, connecting elements are provided, which are insertable into the cup in such a manner, that they are situated at least approximately in one plane, which is oriented perpendicularly to a longitudinal axis of a cup. Connecting elements take the form of pin-shaped connecting elements. In addition, the connecting elements are formed in such a manner, that they are inserted into the cup, inside an outer cross-section of the cup. A securing element is also provided for securing the connecting elements. Furthermore, a fuel injection system having such a connecting device is provided.

The ECU is configured: to control the opening/closing of the electromagnetic valve to adjust the fuel amount discharged toward the injector; to execute an operation sound suppression control during a low-load operation of an engine by reducing an opening/closing frequency of the electromagnetic valve and increasing the fuel amount discharged for each opening/closing of the electromagnetic valve; not to execute the operation sound suppression control when a partial lift injection is in progress; and to execute the operation sound suppression control when the partial lift injection is not in progress.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for operating a direct injection fuel pump. One example system comprises an accumulator positioned within a bore of the direct injection fuel pump in a coaxial manner wherein the accumulator is positioned downstream from a solenoid activated check valve. The accumulator may regulate pressure in a compression chamber of the direct injection fuel pump and a high pressure fuel rail when the direct injection fuel pump is operating in a default pressure mode.
