摘要： There is provided a topical composition that comprises (a) a substantially anhydrous insect repellent selected from the group consisting of ethyl 3-(N-butylacetylamino) propionate or a derivative thereof, p-menthane-3,8-diol, hydroxyethyl isobutyl piperidine carboxylate (1-piperidine carboxylic acid), and mixtures thereof, and (b) a non-volatile solvent. A second embodiment of the present composition includes the same insect repellent, and a volatile solvent, and, optionally, a film former. A third embodiment includes the same insect repellent, a non-volatile solvent, a volatile solvent, and, optionally, a film former.

摘要： A sub-component circuit board may be electrically and mechanically connected to a higher order circuit board using one or more leads extending from a lead frame embedded in the sub-component circuit board. The sub-component board is produced as a layered assembly with the embedded lead frame at the core. One or more dielectric layers and one or more circuitry layers are provided over the lead frame and then bonded using heat and pressure. Apertures in the dielectric and circuitry layers define a perimeter of the circuit board where the leads of the lead frame are exposed. The lead frame connects to the circuitry layer(s) using plated vias.

摘要： A storage accessory that enables containers to be sealed at a desired level above the remaining contents. In an embodiment, the sealing device for a container comprises a device body having a chamber with an opening in the bottom end of the device body. The bottom end of the device body adapted to be inserted into a container, such as a wine bottle. A deployment member within the chamber, which may traverse the device body, is configured to be able to deploy arms that bias a flexible barrier outward to engage the container. In an embodiment, the arms are formed from resilient metal wires made of superelastic shape memory alloy, such as NiTi. When in a retracted position, the resilient wires may fit into the chamber of the device body. When in an expanded position, the resilient wires bias the flexible barrier causing the flexible barrier to seal a container. When the expanded arms bias the barrier against the walls of the container, sealing the container, its contents are substantially free from contact with environmental oxygen, and is only in contact with the air existing between the barrier and the contents of the container.

摘要： A post-application expanding composition for application to hair fibers of the scalp, eyebrows or eyelashes is provided. The composition comprises at least one surfactant, a solvent for the surfactant, and a volatile agent in an amount that will cause the surfactant and solvent to interact and foam on the hair fibers thereby producing an expanded composition. The composition further contains a film-forming agent in an amount effective to form a film which when set fixes at least a portion of the expanded composition in its expanded state. The volatile agent is solubilized in the composition, and is further dispersed throughout the composition in nanometer size droplets or generated in situ on the hair fibers or immediately prior to application thereto so that the composition is storable in a non-pressurized container.
