摘要： Thermoplastic, linear, saturated polyesters containing flameproofing agents consisting of halogen compounds and an antimony trioxide which has been prepared in an aqueous suspension of an inorganic support using an aqueous antimony(III) halide solution and adding an aqueous solution of a base to raise the pH to from 6 to 8 with precipitation of the antimony compound onto the support, followed by separation of the solids from the aqueous phase.

摘要： Glass-fiber-reinforced molding compositions of reduced flammability consisting of (A) a linear saturated polyester resin, (B) from 10 to 60 per cent by weight of glass fibers and (C) from 3 to 30 per cent by weight of a flame retardant. The compositions contain from 2 to 20 per cent by weight, based on the total weight of the molding composition, of a particulate water-insoluble silicate having a bulk density of more than 100 g/l, which prevents dripping of the composition when in contact with an open flame.

摘要： Process for the continuous manufacture of polymeric starting materials for high-grade transparent thin sheeting, whereinA. .epsilon.-caprolactam is continuously agitated in a first reaction zone under polyamide-forming conditions at temperatures of from 240.degree. to 290.degree. C until at least 20% and preferably at least 35% of the .epsilon.-caprolactam has reacted,B. magnesium silicate having a particle size of less than 30 .mu.m is then added to the melt to give magnesium silicate concentrations in the reaction mixture of from 0.0005 to 0.5% and preferably from 0.001 to 0.01%, andC. the melt is then polymerized in further stages to completion until the relative viscosity is from 2.4 to 3.3 and preferably from 2.5 to 2.8.
