The electronic apparatus includes a communication interface configured to communicate with an external device; a display; a memory configured to store at least one instruction; and a processor connected to the communication interface, the display and the memory, wherein the processor is configured to execute the at least one instruction to: based on a control signal being received by the external device while a user interface (UI) including a plurality of UI elements is displayed by the display, control the communication interface to transmit, to the external device, a request signal for requesting a location measurement signal; based on the location measurement signal being received from the external device, obtain information regarding a location of the external device based on the location measurement signal; identify a first UI element at which a highlight is located, from among the plurality of UI elements, based on the control signal; and control the display to adjust at least one of a size or a shape of the first UI element that is displayed, based on the information regarding the location of the external device.

An electronic device includes a first communication module, a depth camera module, and a processor. The processor may be configured to: obtain distance information and direction information of a first external device by using the first communication module; and obtain first distance information between the electronic device and an object in a first space that distinguishes the first space from other spaces, by using the depth camera module, When it is identified that the first external device is located within a distance range indicating the first distance information, on the basis of the distance information and direction information of the first external device and the first distance information, the electronic device can identify that the first external device is located in the first space; and group the first external device as a device in the first space.
