    Abstract: Disclosed is a method of updating a biometric feature pattern by an electronic device. The method includes acquiring a plurality of biometric images. The method also includes comparing each of the plurality of biometric images with a pre-registered feature pattern. The method further includes determining a biometric image that matches the pre-registered feature pattern among the plurality of biometric images. In addition, the method includes updating the pre-registered feature pattern by adding at least one feature point of a biometric image that does not match the pre-registered feature pattern among the plurality of biometric images to the pre-registered feature pattern.
