摘要: A system for developing application systems and implementing the system for an automated machine, which can reduce the burden of installing the peripheral devices with a controller. The system includes a controller, a monitor connected with the controller, and at least one object to be controlled. The object is connected to the controller. The control system further includes developing a program for the controlled object, implementing the program developed, and a software module uniquely assigned to the object. The software module provides at least one of an icon procedure for displaying an icon for the object in a display area on the monitor, a description procedure for describing a control process for the object, and an implement procedure for implementing the control process developed for the object.

摘要: Techniques are described for device locking with activity preservation at a specified level within a multi-level hierarchy of device states. Such locking enables a user to share a device with another user while specifying a particular level of access to the device, such as access to a particular class of applications, a specific application, or a specific task within an application. Determination of the authorized activity may be based on a currently active application, or on the particular user gesture. The level of functionality made available may be based on the number of times a user gesture is repeated. Gestures may include a selection of a hardware or software control on the device, issuance of a voice command, and the like.

摘要: Disclosed is a liquid crystal orientating agent which contains a liquid crystal orientating polyorganosiloxane obtained by reacting a specified reactive polyorganosiloxane typified by the hydrolysis condensate of 2-(3,4-epoxycyclohexyl)ethyltrimethoxysilane and a reactive compound which includes a specified compound typified by stearic acid. The liquid crystal orientating agent of this invention can form liquid crystal orientating films which have excellent liquid crystal orientating properties, a high level of heat resistance and light resistance, exhibit little reduction of voltage retention even in high temperature environments and when irradiated with light of high intensity, and excellent residual image characteristics, and it also has excellent storage stability.

摘要: A ball screw apparatus includes: a screw shaft having a screw groove, a nut having a screw groove and holes, a number of balls rollably provided between the screw grooves, and a ball circulating member having an end portion to be fitted to the holes. The ball circulating member includes aside cap having leg portions to be fitted into the holes. Each of the leg portions contains a scooping up path or a returning path. The scooping up path and the retuning path are inclined with respect to outer peripheral faces of the leg portions. The holes include a slot substantially in parallel with directions of the screw grooves. The scooping up path and the returning path are directed substantially in a tangential direction of the screw shaft and inclined substantially toward a lead angle direction of the screw grooves.

摘要: An NC apparatus controls a position of a tool by driving a plurality of shafts with a plurality of servomotors. The shafts includes at least one clamp shaft that can be mechanically clamped or non-clamped. A clamp determining unit determines whether a state of the clamp shaft and outputs a signal based on the state. A correcting unit corrects a position instruction value or a position detection value of at least one shaft other than the clamp shaft based on the signal and a correction value so as to cancel an error in a position of the tool due to movement of the tool performed by the clamp shaft.

摘要: An object of the invention is to enable the user to judge whether the print is executed or not by informing the user of a print time which is required for a printing process before starting the printing. The print time which is required for the printing process is estimated before starting the printing process on the basis of draw information based on a print document that is formed by an application and print set information at the time of executing the printing process of the print data.

摘要: In a printer having a stapling function for binding together a plurality of sheets of printing paper that have been printed out, processing for performing stapling at a set position cannot be carried out if the set staple position and the orientation of printing paper actually set in the printer are not in conformity. Accordingly, the invention is such that a printer driver within a host computer acquires information such as the transport direction of printing paper that has been placed in a paper feed unit of the printer and limits, on the basis of this paper information, staple positions that can be set by a user. This makes it possible to execute stapling in reliable fashion.
