    摘要: There is disclosed the coating of a metallic substrate with a cross-linked polymeric film by contacting the substrate with an aqueous composition containing:at least an acrylic or metacrylic compound which can be defined by the general formula: ##STR1## wherein: R is a straight-line or branched aliphatic hydrocarbon radical, either saturated or unsaturated containing from 2 to 10 carbon atoms, or a cycloaliphatic or an aromatic group;R.sub.1 and R.sub.2, equal to or different from one another, are straight-line or branched alkyl groups, either saturated or unsaturated and containing from 1 to 8 carbon atoms, or cycloaliphatic or aromatic groups;at least one unsaturated organic acid capable of being copolymerized with the compound (I), in an amount of from 5 to 40 parts by weight per 100 parts of the compound (I) or an organic or a mineral acid which cannot be copolymerized with the compound (I) in an amount of from 1 to 10 parts by weight per 100 parts of the compound (I), anda polymerization catalyst preferably selected from among the persulphates, the hydroperoxides, the peracids H.sub.2 O.sub.2 and the peroxides.A metallic substrate coated by the composition of polymeric nature as described above is then heated to a temperature equal to, or lower than 180.degree. C. approximately and for the time which is necessary to originate a polymeric film cross-linked upon said substrate.A film so deposited exhibits optimum properties as to adherence, resistance to bending and shocks and resistance to the saline mist.

    摘要: Polymerization catalysts for organic polythiourethane glass which do not contain organometallic compounds contain a mixture of a tertiary aliphatic amine and a disubstituted phosphoric acid in a molar ratio ranging from 1/1.3 to 1/20. Polymerizable liquid compositions containing three components (A), (B) and (C) are also provided, wherein component (A) contains at least one cycloaliphatic diisocyanate monomer wherein the weight percentage of free isocyanate groups in component (A) ranges from about 20% to about 50% by weight with respect to the total weight of component (A); component (B) contains at least one polythiol having a molecular weight ranging from 50 to 1,200 g/moles and a functionality ranging from 2 to 5, said components (A) and (B) being present in a weight ratio varying from 0.5:1 to 2:1; and component (C) being said polymerization catalyst. A process for the production of organic glass using the polymerizable liquid composition is further provided.

    摘要: Liquid composition which can be polymerized into organic glasses, by means of radical polymerization with low shrinkage, comprising the product obtained from the trans-esterification of a diallycarbonate (A) with a mixture of one or more linear or branched aliphatic diols (B), containing from three to ten carbon atoms in the molecule, with a linear or branched aliphatic polyol (C), containing from four to twenty carbon atoms and from three to six hydroxyl groups in the molecule. The molar ratio A/(B+C) in the above polymerizable liquid composition ranges from 2/1 to 5/1 and the quantity of (C) in the mixture (B+C) is equal to or less than 25% by weight with respect to the total weight of this mixture.
