    摘要: The present invention provides an integrated antenna and visual display apparatus, or one of an antenna apparatus and visual display apparatus which is integratable with the other. Apertures are formed in a visual display, such as an OLED display. The apertures when formed in a conductive layer operate as radiating bodies of an antenna array. A subset of sub-pixels of the visual display can be removed in line with the apertures. An optically transparent substrate is located over the visual display, and an array of further conductive elements, which may be optically transparent, is disposed on an exterior of this substrate. The further conductive elements operate to direct the antenna signals through the substrate, by coupling in an impedance-matched manner with the radiating apertures.

    摘要: A method and system are provided for scheduling data transmission in a Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) system. The MIMO system may comprise at least one MIMO transmitter and at least one MIMO receiver. Feedback from one or more receivers may be used by a transmitter to improve quality, capacity, and scheduling in MIMO communication systems. The method may include generating or receiving information pertaining to a MIMO channel metric and information pertaining to a Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) in respect of a transmitted signal; and sending a next transmission to a receiver using a MIMO mode selected in accordance with the information pertaining to the MIMO channel metric, and an adaptive coding and modulation selected in accordance with the information pertaining to the CQI.

    摘要: A method of encoding a stream of data elements is provided which involves splitting the stream of data elements into a first stream and a second stream; encoding the first stream to produce a first encoded stream; performing a constellation mapping using a combination of the first encoded stream and a third stream which is based on the second stream. Post processing signal to interference and noise ratios (“SINR”) for a plurality of signals corresponding to a plurality of mobile terminals arranged as a V-MIMO group are estimated. The one of the remaining mobile terminals having the highest post processing SINR is selected. Wireless communication for the selected remaining mobile terminal is scheduled.
