摘要: Disclosed is a motion estimation apparatus and method using a prediction algorithm between macroblocks. In the motion estimation method, an average of a motion vector of a macroblock 1 and a motion vector of a macroblock 3 is determined as a prediction motion vector. A prediction sum of absolute difference (SAD) value of the macroblock 2 is calculated, which is an SAD value based on the prediction motion vector. A reference SAD value for neighboring macroblocks of the macroblock 2 is compared with a value obtained by subtracting a predetermined threshold value from the prediction SAD value. Normal motion vector estimation is performed on the macroblock 2 based on the compared result.

摘要: A method and system for assessing the condition of a pipe carrying a fluid is disclosed. The method includes the steps of generating a pressure wave in the fluid being carried along the pipe and detecting a pressure wave interaction signal resulting from an interaction of the pressure wave with a localized variation in pipe condition. The method then involves determining from the timing of the pressure wave interaction signal the location of the localized variation in pipe condition and the extent of the localized variation in pipe condition based on a characteristic of the pressure wave interaction signal.

摘要: A bio sample processing apparatus and method using vacuum chambers in which a bio sample is injected into a first vacuum chamber connected with one end of a bio processor and, after processing, is ejected into a second vacuum chamber connected with the other end of the bio processor. The vacuum chambers and bio processor are connected with each other to form an environment with a pressure lower than atmospheric pressure, and the bio sample moves toward the second vacuum chamber due to the pressure difference created by the injection of the bio sample into the first vacuum chamber.

摘要: Disclosed is an LCD apparatus having a reduced size and weight. The LCD apparatus includes a bottom chassis having a bottom surface and first to fourth sidewalls. The sidewall of the bottom chassis includes a supporting member for preventing a light guiding plate from being moved and a fixing boss for fixing an optical sheet. The bottom chassis includes a lamp insertion portion for receiving a lamp unit, which is disposed on the third and fourth sidewalls of the bottom chassis. The bottom chassis receives a reflecting plate, the light guiding plate and the optical sheet. A mold frame is coupled to the bottom chassis to fix the reflecting plate, the light guiding plate and the optical sheet to the bottom chassis. A display unit disposed on the mold frame is fixed to the mold frame by a top chassis coupled to the mold frame. Accordingly, a bottom mold frame for receiving a backlight assembly is removed, so that it is able to reduce a cost of the LCD apparatus and a weight thereof.

摘要: Provided is a method and system for estimating a channel in a wireless communication system. An interference coefficient is calculated based on a known structure of a pilot, and a channel value in a frequency domain is estimated. A channel value in a time domain is obtained by transforming the channel value in the frequency domain and the channel delay values are subtracted from the channel value in the time domain, thereby cancelling interference.
