    摘要: In a receiving container, a backlight assembly having the receiving container, and a display device having the backlight assembly, the receiving container includes a bottom plate, sidewalls, and optical support members. The sidewalls extend from an edge of the bottom plate. The sidewalls are connected to each other to define a receiving recess therebetween. The optical support members protrude from a front face of the bottom plate to support optical units thereon. The optical support members are integrally formed with the bottom plate. The bottom mold is integrally formed with lamp supporters and/or dispersion plate support members. Thus, cost required for manufacturing the bottom mold is relatively low. In addition, time required for manufacturing the bottom mold is relatively short. Furthermore, a light leakage is prevented between the bottom mold and the optical support members.

    摘要: In a backlight assembly and an LCD apparatus including a receiving unit formed by an injection molding process, a plurality of sidewalls is protruded from a bottom plate, and a receiving space is defined by the sidewalls and the bottom plate. A strength-reinforcing member is formed on a rear surface of the bottom plate to thereby reinforce a bending strength of the bottom plate. Accordingly, the receiving unit for receiving a lamp unit is formed using a material used with an injection molding process, and the strength-reinforcing member reinforces the bending strength of the bottom plate. Cost and weight of the backlight assembly and the LCD apparatus may be sufficiently reduced.

    摘要: A method of driving light-emitting diodes (LEDs), a backlight assembly for performing the method, and a display apparatus having the backlight assembly are disclosed for various embodiments. For example, the backlight assembly includes a light source unit and a light source controller. The light source unit includes red, green, and blue LEDs generating red, green, and blue light, respectively. The light source controller detects amounts of the red, green, and blue light, respectively, to compare the actual light amount ratio of the red, green, and blue light with the reference light amount ratio. The light source controller controls the red, green, and blue LEDs, respectively, so that an actual light amount ratio becomes substantially identical to a reference light amount ratio when the actual light amount ratio is not identical to the reference light amount ratio.
