    摘要: In an electrophotographic plate comprising a substrate and a photoconductive layer formed on said substrate, when said substrate is made of an age-hardening type aluminum alloy and has a Vickers hardness of 60 Hv or higher, there can be produced electrophotographic plates high in dimensional accuracy, good in resistance to mechanical damages and impact, and very small in eccentricity when molded in the form of a drum. When the surface hardness of the selenium photoconductive layer is made 5 H or harder in pencil hardness, the resulting electrophotographic plate is excellent in printing performance and has a long life.

The variety of information are represented by corresponding codes based on total status of the image forming means and the optional units. Each of the optional units includes a device for managing the aforementioned data relating to its own status, and a device for sending the print engine the data relating to its own status.

    摘要: A light source is disclosed which can be used in atomic absorption analysis using the Zeeman effect. In operation, an external magnetic field is applied to the hollow cathode of the light source to cause the Zeeman-splitting of an emission line from the cathode material. The hollow cathode is made of a ferromagnetic metal as which is the element of interest for analysis and a metal for reducing the magnetic shield of the externally applied magnetic field by the ferromagnetic metal so that the external magnetic field effectively acts on the hollow portion of the cathode to provide the desired Zeeman-splitting. The hollow cathode is designed such that the product of the saturation flux densities of the cathode materials and the volume thereof is equal to or smaller than 0.2(Wb.multidot.m).times.10.sup.-6. The emission line from the cathode material is produced by excitation from a high frequency power supply, the power supply being connected to the cathode and the anode of the light source.

    摘要: A plurality of ground-tint patterns are prepared. A ground-tint pattern adding unit adds a ground-tint data to a printing data to be output to a printer. The ground-tint data includes a copy-suppression pattern that is prepared by combining optically readable copy-surviving patterns with optically difficult-to-read copy-extinctive pattern and are manifested in reproductions. The ground-tint pattern adding unit changes the copy-suppression pattern in the ground-tint data to be added to the printing data with time.
