    摘要: In a magnetic head with a slider, there are provided a head core made of a magnetic material having a first sliding surface for slidably contacting with a magnetic recording medium and at least one recording and reproducing gap defined on the sliding surface, a slider having a second sliding surface for slidably guiding the magnetic recording medium. The slider is connected to one side wall of the magnetic head core by an adhering material. A recess is defined on the slider along the entire length of the peripheral portion of one side wall of the magnetic head core. Chamferred parts are formed on the corner of the first sliding surface and the side wall of the magnetic head core.

    摘要: A semiconductor device of the present invention has a semiconductor element region 17 that is provided in part of a silicon carbide layer 3 and a guard-ring region 18 that is provided in another part of the silicon carbide layer 3 surrounding the semiconductor element region 17 when seen in a direction perpendicular to a principal surface of the silicon carbide layer 3. The semiconductor device includes: an interlayer insulation film 10 which is provided on the principal surface of the silicon carbide layer 3 in the semiconductor element region 17 and the guard-ring region 18, the interlayer insulation film 10 having a relative dielectric constant of 20 or more; a first protective insulation film 14 provided on the interlayer insulation film in the guard-ring region 18; and a second protective insulation film 15 provided on the first protective insulation film 14, wherein the first protective insulation film 14 has a linear expansion coefficient which is between a linear expansion coefficient of a material of the second protective insulation film 15 and a linear expansion coefficient of a material of the interlayer insulation film 10.

    摘要: A valve timing adjuster adjusts timing of opening and closing an intake valve or an exhaust valve by changing a phase between a drive shaft and a driven shaft. The valve timing adjuster includes a housing, a vane rotor, an urging member, a regulating member, and a control unit. The control unit controls rotation of an electric motor that rotates the drive shaft. When an internal combustion engine stops in a state, where the regulating member is positioned out of a bore, the control unit restarts the engine by controlling the electric motor in the following manner. Firstly, the motor is controlled to rotate at a first rotational speed, which is a relatively high speed and subsequently, the motor is quickly changed to rotate at a second rotational speed, which is a relatively low speed.

The inkjet recording apparatus performs a scanning/recording operation for forming an image on a recording medium by shifting the recording head in a main scanning direction. The inkjet recording apparatus sets a recording position correction amount for each section of the nozzle array based on information relating to the inclination, so that a recording position correction amount in a forward scanning operation is different from a recording position correction amount in a backward scanning operation.
